SOTC — Refund of booking amount

We booked our 15 days europe tour package with sotc travel company in nov-19. We paid rs 195000/- (For 3 pax) as advance deposit. The tour was due to begin from 03-june-20 from kolkata. But due to outbreak of covid-19 worldwide, the tour was called off by sotc.
But they didn’t have the minimum courtesy to even inform us about the official cancellation till the last minute.
When we enquired from sotc kolkata representatives and asked them to refund our hard earned money, they refused and instead advised us to accept credit voucher with a validity till june-2021.
We straightway rejected their cv offer for
And insisted on 100% cash refund which they haven’t accepted so far.
This is very disappointing, unethical and unprofessional attitude of such a large and reputed company like sotc.
We have now joined a bigger group comprising of 400+ customers (From all over india) who have deposited more than rs 3 cr with sotc and they are fighting jointly to get their 100% refund.
