Southern Railway — enquiry counter coimbatore railway station /urgent requirement for servicing battery car | |||
Sir, Reached coimbatore railway station around 2000 hrs to board the nilgiri express on 07 nov 2018. Reserved ticket in b2 - 3rd ac compartment. I am a senior citizen aged 70 years, underwent aortic valve replacement, unable to walk, wearing foot fall splint in my left leg. Went to the enquiry counter, asked for battery car service (Platform 2). The person in counter asked me to look out for the number displayed in entry gate. Called that number, received reply switched off. Again went to the counter and told them. He said go to 2nd platform, the battery car will be there. There is no lift also to go to number 2 platform. With very hard struggle reached platform 2 by climbing the stairs and waited. But could not find the battery car. Enquired in a book stall. They said the battery car is under repair for the last 2 months. The person in enquiry counter do not know even this. I feel travelling by train from coimbatore is horrible. Immediate action be taken to service the battery car. A person sitting in inquiry counter should have upto minute information Was this information helpful? | |||
