Hello,
I have a savings account in Sansad Marg branch New Delhi
since 2006. (A/c No. [protected])
Today I noticed that my account is being debited by Rs.561
every month since October 2013. My original balance was Rs 6700 which now
stands at Rs 2300.
I called up the customer care and they informed me that I
have a Preferred Banking account where I need to maintain a minimum balance of
Rs.200, 000. If I don't do that, a penalty will be levied for not maintaining
the minimum balance and because of this reason my account has been debited by
Rs.4400 till date.
I am being told that I am a preferred customer of SCB, but I
have never ever received any call from any RM of StanC. I have not been given
any Preferred account services by SCB however have been subjected to such
penalties without any prior intimation. I don't understand why any SMS was not
sent to me before or after deducting this monthly charge from my account,
despite an active SMS banking facility on my number.
I fail to understand what kind of customer service is this?
Why was I not called (being a so called preferred banking
customer) before any such penalty deductions started?
I want this amount to be reversed in my account keeping in
view of the fact that not even a single preferred banking service was or has
been rendered to me ever !!!
I am a former employee of this bank and have high regards
for it but this incident is deeply disappointing and uncalled for.
pls do the needful.
Thanks,
