I deeply regret to inform that apart from having regular follow-ups and raising complaints several times the unauthorized credit card charges was not settled and my account was continuously charged for Interest and Service Tax on the disputed amount (annual fee) for a year.

I had raised a request for credit card cancellation as I was moving out of India for good and in-spite of requesting for cancellation the customer support representative did to update the request and my card was active for two months and I was charged 'Annual Fee' which was not even mentioned when I received the card.

The issue here is 'I wanted the card to be cancelled which was not done as per the request and further there were annual fee levied which I was not aware off' . Upon receiving the statement again, I discussed my case with customer care representative and I was assured that the 'Annual Fee' would be waived off and I was suppose to pay certain amount prior to cancelling the card as there were few transaction to which I politely agreed and made a payment for the amount mentioned by representation (amount mentioned was minus annual fee).

With that, I assumed this issue was amicably resolved, BUT to my utter surprise I received another statement next week with Interest on Annual charges. PLEASE NOTE THE ANNUAL CHARGES WERE NOT WAIVED OFF AS COMMITTED BY THE REPRESENTATIVE in the previous call.

Upon receiving this statement, the issue was raised with customer care sever hundred times and each time a different representative logged the issue with no resolution, to bring this to an end I visited M.G Road office and I was assured by the head of settlement services (I do not recollect the name) that all the charges would be waived off and the card will be closed.

It's been 3 years yet I do not see anybody going through this case or trying to even follow up and resolve this. The whole issue was due to Annual Fee being charged even when the card request was raised for card cancellation and in additional a series of interest that was levied on the annual fee.

Appreciate someone looking into this and closing this case.

Please note - All payments were made for all the transactions and the remaining outstanding amounts is purely annual fees and interest that was charged for a year.
