I am filing this complaint against Star Health Insurance for rejecting ₹30, 000 from my father’s hospitalization claim, despite submitting all valid documents. The total bill from Neptune Hospital, New Delhi (18/03/2025 to 22/03/2025), was ₹93, 155, of which only ₹59, 055 was settled.
I submitted:
Receipt No. 512 for ₹30, 000
Doctor’s signed letter explaining the charges
Breakup/invoice for ₹30, 000
All documents clearly show this amount was for legitimate medical consultation charges during hospitalization. Yet, Star Health rejected it with vague reasoning like “no breakup†or “duplicate billing, †which is not justified as the receipt and bill numbers are different.
I have raised grievances on multiple official platforms — IRDAI, PG Portal, NCH, and Ombudsman — but no fair resolution has been provided. The delay and rejection have caused mental stress and financial burden.
I request urgent intervention so that other consumers are not subjected to the same treatment. I am also pursuing legal remedies through appropriate channels. Was this information helpful? |
