Unprofessional and abusive behavior from a star health insurance representative

I had a very disappointing experience with staff from Star Health Insurance. I was interested in learning about their insurance plans, but her rude and unprofessional behavior completely changed my mind.

She called me first, and when I tried to ask questions about the policy, she became aggressive and dismissive. At one point, she even said, "Ye log kya premium denge?"

Claim Not Obtained _ Unethical Behaviour

I am Blessy Y M, living in Chennai. During vacation time, me and my family had gone to our native at Nagercoil. During that time my second daughter got high fever and admitted in Dr. Jayasekaren hospital on 01.01.25 and got discharged on 03.01.25.

We already had taken Star health Insurence for our family from October 2024 onwards. But during claim process they rejected our claim since we are paying the amount on EMI basis....

Repeated Calling from Star Health Insurance everyday from different numbers.

I am not interested in taking health insurance especially not from this fake nuisance health insurance. Nonsense people, nonsense company who will buy their policy when they irritate the people. I am writing this with so much frustration and disappointment. My daughter was admittted on 22-10-24 in kims hospital trivandrum, kerala for adenoidectomy surgery. My policy number is [protected] and claim number is CIR/2025/181123/1131112. Name of patient is Juanito MV.Initial approval was recieved on 23-10-24.But on discharge on 24-10-24, no reply recieved from star health end for final approval on discharge.

    Cashless reject and previous reimbursement to rejected

    CIR/2025/161130/0482354, Claim number, we had admitted the patient dates july 5th 2024. We applied for cashless and it was been rejected saying the need further investigation. Further to the calls with them the reason given by them was illogical and baseless.

    Same happened last year too we applied for reimbursement too and the say we can approve as this problem is since years. How can a cardiac arrest be an issue since years....

    My claim for the bill submitted thro' Apollo Hospital for a treatment for Rs.90, 135 was partially approved without a proper reason and not as per the promises made during purchase of the policy. Company cheated us by collecting the premium assuring 100% coverage with cashless claims, but paid only 60% of the bill amount. this is absolute cheating case by the company as well as the agents selling the policies by collecting the hefty premium...

    Dear Sir,
    With due hunour my humble request to you as a senior citizen for cordial & active cooperation against fraudulent activities of the foresaid company. I was hospitalised for fistulotomy operation as per advice of my treating Doctor with 48 hrs prior intimation to the company as per their rules.
    After discharge on 06/03/24 all the required documents were submitted on 15/03/24.As per their estimation on basis of documents the claimed amount was Rs68576 they intimated me but they reimbursed me only Rs 33361 against Rs 68576 on 18/04/24. They discarded surgeon charge, O.T charge, investigation charge, medicine charge within hospital. I complained against misjudgement for reimbursed amount to the company on 20/04/24 but no response received from their end and then to Grievance Redressal officer of the company, to Office of the insurance ombudsman, kolkata on 30/05/24 but no action taken till the date.

    You please pursue their secret policy which they do not disclose the customers like us & kindly take active steps by which I could get my legal claim.

      I have not gone through any surgery in the past before the one done at Medanata in Jan 2024. I have requested Star Health to provide the details of their investigation however the claim is denied.
      How do I submit a report of surgery from 12 years before when I have never been operated prior to Jan 2024.

          Money laundering and selling false health insurance and not support/respond customers after selling policy

          Hi,

          I toolk Health insurance with Star health policy of P/700002/01/2024/092323 .

          At the time of selling policy every 15 min they are calling continue for 20 days and after I took policy from them not responding though I am sending 1000 of mails and reaching in twitter also no use.

          Whole top management and sale person Jagan also kept quite and not doing anything.

          This Complaint Against everyone in Start health insurance team Madhya Pradesh. This is regarding very serious concerns and very bad experience from start health insurance teams below are my issues which I am facing from last 5 months. I hope I will get positive response and early resolution.

          Claim Intimation Date: 29-July 2023

          Claim Submission Date: 10-Aug-2023

          I am Manish Agarwal and regular customer for Star health Insurance team and giving the installment many years and now when time to use the health insurance your team had given me very bad experience due that my all-family mental condition is damages due to the fund issues in treatment of patient.

          My father Mr. Govardhan Prasad Agarwal got heart attack on 27-July-2023 immediately we have admitted in Pukhratan Hospital Neemuch where we did the ECG and blood test and found positive. And same day we have intimated to insurance team claim intimation number is CIR/2024/201118/055386. Doctor Ashok Jain has referred us in Neemuch Heart care hospital. On 29-July-2023 we have again admitted in Neemuch heart care hospital where we did the Angiography and found two blockages in heart and decide to go for Angioplasty at Neemuch hear care hospital. Again, we intimated to Start health insurance team and received claim intimation number is CIR/2024/201118/0557563. Attached is the screen shot of message for your information please.

          We got discharge on 31-July-2023 with all medical documents and prescription and again we have informed to start health insurance team they suggested to prepare a claim health form and submit at earliest. We prepared completed documents and submitted in next 10 days to local agent Mrs. Rachna Garg. From that time, I am continue flowing up from Customer care, Mr. Naresh Pratap Singh, Mr. Hemanth Ranka and local agent also, but no one is giving me a proper response. Till today 5 months completed but we are still struggling for our amount.

          On how much difficult we have paid amount of 2600000/- for Angioplasty, medicines, and pathologies. I had taken amount form market on interest still I am paying interest. Got mental pressure for me and my family to paying back the amount. Every month I am giving the interest of 5000/- Rs which almost again 25000/- till now. Daily 3-4 times I tried to call to customer care bot no once is seriously and also not listening my problem and not getting proper response from any one which shows a very bad experience from complete star health team including their private agent available in Neemuch.

            On an emergency I have admitted my wife in hospital on 12.02.2024. Due to non availability of Star health ID card, I am unable to avail cashless treatment at City Hospital, Kakinada, which is network hospital for Star Health. I have shown the soft copy of policy, which is active, the name of wife in policy document to the person dealing with health insurance admissions in City hospital, Kakinada, but he refused to accept cashless treatment. She is hospitalized for more than 24 hours. Though I have an active health insurance policy, I have to pay hospital bill above Rs.9000/- .
            I am a customer for Star Health for more than a decade. But, now for using in emergency situation, the Star Health Insurance policy has not served the purpose. Of course, present scene, it is around Rs.10, 000/-.
            But, in case of emergency and and I have to met expenses on high side, the health insurance is use less. I can not rely on Star Health. Then, it is useless to continue the health insurance policy with star health. Since then, I have raised several grievances with ticket numbers #10445565, #10403202
            Under the above circumstances, it is requested that, as the policy renewed in one month back, and more than 10 months to go, please cancel the useless policy and refund the premium immediately.

            I am posting this grievance in social media and consumer forums also. An early action is solicited.
