I am Senior Engineer at Vadodara based company Rotex Automation Ltd in Gujarat. Our company has done group medical policy from Loop Health India in which Insurance company is Star Health India. In March 22 My wife suffered from severe pain in stomach and we have consulted through well known doctor Dr. Mehul Damani at Planet Woman Hospital, Ahmedabad.
Our group medical policy having total sum insured was 2 lac INR considering me and my wife and doctor told me to do Laparoscopy immediately. I have informed loop health claim team and as per their suggestion submitted all documents within a 15-20 days of time.
Claim team had verified all document and final they have replied “Earlier We have filed for reconsideration of your the claim no.CIG/2023/cxxxxxxxxxxx.The Star Health has reviewed and mentioned that Denial is in order as the condition, also it does not falls under emergency criteria, hence the claim was denied”.
We have operation DVD to show how big cyst was there and also it was genuine case of major surgery as well as our claim amount was 1.44 lac which was less than sum insured. In this case we are really disappointed from Star Health.
Please consider this as a complain against Star Health and guide me to go ahead for further actions. I have all the proofs for the said case.
