I am have a starhealth comprehensive family floater policy. I have 5000 rupees claim available for newborn vaccination . I had submitted the bill manually in their Aluva branch as hardcopy. they had sent me acknowledgement of the receipt. after that no any updates coming from them, and I have made a complaint, but they didn't responded, my complaint reference is 2997631

    I have applied for claim reimbursement, but my claim was rejected by starhealth by saying that As per special condition, the insured person has to undergo treatment in our network hospitals only. However there is no any such kind of information mentioned in the policy documents. I have also wrote email to the Grievance Department ([protected]@starhealth.in) but they are not replying to the email after several reminders. No one is answering the call from[protected] number.

      Keep receiving calls from star health insurance on regular basis on my phone. Even after telling them not to disturb me. DND is waste.
      I will never ever buy this insurance. There is no point in telling them to remove my number. On a daily basis i am getting 3-4 calls.

      I have noticed a patterns for few numbers:

        I'm having issue with nuisance calls from Star health insurance, I told several times while the telecallers calling from different numbers that not to disturb me since I'm not interested and remove my number from database. Everytime they say ok and continue to call several times. Today I got one and when I was saying the same thing the guy on the other end was rude and said yes you have to answer multiple calls like this from our end. This is the number he called in from[protected]. This is very annoying and disturbs the peace of mind and well being.

          Hi when we contacted customer care to buy a policy we were told the mental illness was covered. When we got admitted our family member they rejected the claim mentioning it was carried by the patient for a long time. This was relapse after cure. The star insurance customer care had provided the assurance that they will cover it while buying the insurance but now after buying it they have rejected it. We need help in filing a criminal case against star insurance.

                Star health has immature staff or they are very smart to reject any document you submit or give more document to reimburse claim,
                I have files claim on date of 31st dec 2021 and today is 18th April 2022 its almost 4 months and till now I have received around 6 queries and all were like harassing they never tell thing at once for smaller thing they raised query and block the claim process.
                As per last query raised by them they required documents like
                Insured is KCO IHD, stroke 1 year back kindly submit the relevant medical records(Discharge summary, CT, MRI brain reports)

                Which we have already submitted in previous claim CIR/2022/151129/3386165 which was settled already.

                How to get same documents again ?

                The agent name : Sachin Anant Lingayat(BA[protected] and Ms Sara Anand Dhepase - (SH47257)
                they both are totally immature to give detailed information at once to customer and they only calls when premium date is near other wise when we have query and to ask about query they never responded properly.

                So here I am complaining that start health insurance is harassing customer and not giving money back which actually they paid by raising unnecessary queries.

                  1. I was admitted on 07th April, 2022 00:30 hrs and 01:00 hrs shifted to ICU till evening 07:00 PM
                  2. From 07:00 PM on 07th April 2022 to 08th April 07:00 PM 24 hrs Room Rent
                  3. From 07:00 PM on 08th April 2022 to 07:00 PM on 9th April 2022 PM 24 hrs Room Rent - Insurance company deducted my one day room rent
                  The logic of deducting the room rent is really unprofessional. If the patient is ready for discharge as per doctor's advice, Why does the hospital keep the patient till he has to complete 24 hours to get room rent. If you stay in hotel for one day (24 hrs) on the next day at 12:00 noon if you are unable to check out for 2 hours can be extended by hotel authority, but if you vacate at night 11:00 pm, the hotel will charge the second day room rent, it doesn't mean that if you complete 24 hours are not. Medical insurance company has no logic till he has to complete 24 hours. You will be paid 2nd day room rent is really astonishing behavior of the Medical insurance company
                  4. Dietitian food provided to patients for 2 days ( Administrative Cost) Medical insurance company wants patient should not have diet food in the hospital during the treatment and recovery stage

                    Hello team,
                    My previous company(Spartan solutions Inc) took the policy to me. But I have left the company in 2017. My policy was removed. Other renewal messages and mail redirect to me. I go to the nearest star health office to address the issue. They don't respond properly and didn't remove my details. And why did you are not took the company phone and email address? I facing this issue for five years they didn't solve my issue. I'm totally disappointed with your service. Thank you.

                      So why in this policy the automatic restoration of sum insured was not done .policy no :- P/171100/01/2020/019176
                      &
                      WHY new policy (P/171100/01/2021/024582 ) was not getting into consideration? when it was already active from april 2021 and the old expired & amount was exhausted policy no :- P/171100/01/2020/019176.

                          I have taken "Family Health Optima Insurance Plan" policy in star health in 2018. I have continued it till now and now all of a sudden I could see a spike in premium from 21, 600 to 31, 400 some change.

                          When I ask the reason for the increment what I got as an answer from customer care executive is they are few more benefits have been added to this plan and hence premium got increased.

                          My first question is Did I ask for additional benefits? I just need to renew my old plan to the further years and I don't need any benefits added since I am ok with benefits I get during issuing the policy for the first time.

                          It is like I have taken Car of low variant and went to service center and while service people have few more gadgets to the car which I was not interested and asking for money out of it.

                          This cannot be done especially in the health insurance, Health insurance has an advantage of have the same policy for longer periods which will support more diseases. Demanding more money for the same policy renewal with out the change of age slab is like blackmailing people to renew it since they cant go for new policy at the higher age loosing long running policy.

                              With regards to the policy no :P/111117/01/2021/013334. My wife Heera V Kalra is undergoing treatment for CA Breast, present we're shifted to Secunderabad, Hyderabad. Treatment done at Geeta multi speciality hospital, secunderabad. Claims amount of 22, 900 being rejected by star health for reasons beyond facts. As per your last letter dated 21.01.2022, my claims settled as for current year was 10 claims and amount paid was 3, 02, 977. Which further shows that i have accrued cumulative bonus available for Rs. 1, 77, 023. In addition i will be having Rider benefits that i have not used as since last 12 years. Pls kindly remit the payment of 22, 900 to my account, as i have another set of treatment due on 21.02.2022. for my wife. Thank you.

                                  I had purchased Medical insurance from star health for my mother on Feb, 2021. My mother was admitted on Mar, 2021 due to very serious health condition and I could not use Star Health Insurance as there is a 30 day waiting period. However, I had used my office Insurance instead to cover the expenses of the procedure.

                                  For a second procedure on May, 2021 (Day Care Procedure), I had used Star Health Insurance to cover the expenses....

                                  I stay at Hanamkonda Warangal, on 27/04/2021 my mother had expired to complete the religious rituals I had gone to Hyderabad unfortunately there I become positive to covid 19 on 02/05/2021 I have been advised for home isolation by primary health care centre (patancheru, hyderabad) along with medicines which I followed the same but unfortunately on 06/05/2021 I felt difficulty in breathing I found my spo2 levels below 89 and then with a great difficulty I got admitted in to the NICE HOSPITAL, masab tank, Hyderabad and there I was treated by doctors also I have given remidiser inj, plasma therapy along with continuous oxygen support and other medication as advised by doctors in the hospital and was discharged from hospital 16/05/2021 and I was also advised to use oxygen concentrator for few day which I followed

                                  By god grace I have recovered completely and applied for reimbursement of my expenses but till now ie 27/01/2022 it has been not done from star health

                                  I have talked to star health employees for several times they said my claim is under process for long period and taking a very long period they said we require more documents and the same was submitted again they said it will require few more days to process after 20 days I enquired the status they said your claim was rejected and up on my request they have reopened the same and till not it was not processed which shows there is lapse of proper service to customer(me) and also lost faith on insurance company

                                    We have applied for cashless treatment after many queries they rejected our application asking that insured patient was hospitalised and treated in NICU which is prior to inception of the first policy but we openly disclose all about birth situations no any disease found at the time of insurance patient is 100% fit. We can't claim any amount in first year of insurance but now during this time patient is suffering from constipation problem and doctor admitted in hospital. We have applied for cashless treatment but your team rejected our application after so many queries. I request you to please check and give best solution.
