Sub: Error in disbursement of cash through ATM
Sir,
I took a Mini Statement of my account no.[protected] on 11 Feb 15 at 12:08 Hrs from Kondotty Brach ATM and it showed a Balance of Rs.12, 957.64. I withdrew Rs.5000/- (Rupees Five Thousand only) from the same ATM at 12:09 Hrs. The amount got deducted and and SMS alert also came on my mobile no. But only Rs.4, 000/- (Rupees Four thousand only) was disbursed to me in denomination of 1000. The amount was disbursed in a folded condition which shows there is some technical mistake of ATM. Remaining Rs.1, 000/- was not disbursed. Present balance is 7, 957.64/-. Hence, the full amount of Rs.5000/- has been deducted. I tried to withdraw again, but the the message “Cash is not available for disbursement” was displayed. Other customers who tried to withdraw the money were displayed with the same message. Hence, it shows that the money is blocked in the ATM.
On contacting the Kondotty Branch Manager, he informed me that the ATM is run by a private agency and the complaint has to be put forward through my branch where I have my account. I have my account at Kalvathy branch, Fort Kochi.
Kindly do the needful to get my amount of Rs.1000/- debited back to my account. Was this information helpful? |
