[Resolved]  State Bank of India — Net Banking Locked

Yesterday[protected], 12:21pm) I got a below SMS from SBT( "BX-SBTINB" ) "Your user name locked for the day due to 3 wrong password attempts. to unlock, click forgot Login Password Link". But I have only SBI Account. But when I checked SBI net banking, unfortunately I am getting the same message.then I reset my password using "Forgot Log in Password" link.Then I check it today[protected] I am still getting same message "You have been locked out for the day because of three invalid attempts during the day. You may unlock your user name by clicking on the "Forgot Log in Password" link below." Also I have one more concern that, I have not tried any wrong password in the initial time. I am afraid that some unknown person trying to access my account using my user ID. So is there any possibility to change my SBI Net Banking user id. Please do the needful.

Hi,

I have received the same SMS today from " BX-SBTINB " . The message was "Your user name locked for the day due to 3 wrong password attempts. to unlock, click forgot Login Password Link". I have also not tried to make any attempts to login to the SBI Portal. I am actually worried If my money is safe with SBI or not. Someone is trying to hack into the SBI server possibly.

When I called the customer care, their behaviour was very casual and they say that this could be due to some technical problem and he was reading out the template what they have that SBI do no sent the account related information to any customers and..bla..bla... and was not at all trying to understand my critical situation. When tried to escalate to his senior official, he also said me that they do not have any mechanism to track such malicious activity. He gave me the email address: " report.[protected]@sbi.co.in " to raise a complain for this issue. I have raised that complain with the screen shot which is attached herewith.

i got exactly the same message today on my primary number, but i have only an sbi account and not an sbt aaccount. didnt try logging in as im not sure if my laptop is infected.
even it did happen to me today.. Is this your issue resolved??
i didnt get any sms there after, but im getting an emi payment sms (every month!) from them. not sure if someone has opted an emi with my number. i dont know whom to contact either as it doesnt giv the entire account number.
ps: i logged into the netbanking account later from my office laptop and it worked fine without any issues.
I had tried 3 time to open my net banking a/c but screen was showing wrong password, so I clicked on forgot password but again faced same issue with this. I called up to CC he informed me that please contact to nearest branch, now I am not able to logged in, what should I do please suggest?

Hi, I get a similar message,
"you have made 2 invalid login attempts. and you are left with one more attempt after which the access will be locked for the day."

I have not logged in SBI account and someone else is trying to access my account. When i called customer care, they replied that it is a technical fault and just to be on safer side change the password.

Now the problem is that, the same message i'm getting once every 2 weeks. Is it really a technical fault??
Yes, I am using sbionline. Yes, I have just recovered from flue, so made 3 wrong password attempts. So, I was locked out for 24 hours. Now, instructions appeared, 'You can reset lock by option, forgot password.' So, I used option, 'reset using ATM card details.' After all details provided, SMS Rs.1/-was charged at POS. I again attempted to login to sbionline, but, same message, 'You have made 3 wrong password attempts, so locked out for 24 hours.' Kindly REMOVE this high risk instructions, 'reset lock by option forgot password', that asks for ATM card details and doesn't work.
Wait Till The Next Day To Continue Use Your SBI mobile Banking ..
Always use "State Bank Freedom" app to use mobile Banking..
I think security done on this web service site is very bad. And it is made with zeroth level. If any probs on loading pages, then the users will close the current page and opens the new page, if they do like that, then the chances left will be two. And there is no other way to unlock the service block.

And i havent entered wrong password even once. just reloaded that page only. then also its been blocked.
i have entered my userid and password and gone through my account for some time my session was expired and asked to login again when i put my id n password correctly without any wrong it said invalid and the attempts went for 3 times and blocked it . plz observe our complaint n see through it seriously
Got message from SBI that my account is locked, I did not try to login but some how i got the message. After seeing the message when I try to login, it is saying my account is locked for the day due to 3 failed login attempts.
SBI online flashes 3 invalid attempts error even when correct credentials are put in:

I have concluded this could be owing to one or more of the following reasons:

1) proper quality assurance tests were not done on their website and they are trying to make up for it by the only way they can. by locking the customer out of his account.

2) This bank is heavily leveraged ( bad debts, scams, bureaucratic corruptions and red tape) and is sometimes short on funds on certain days and this is one method they may randomly employ to reduce cash outflow on high value accounts etc .. they can do this by preventing certain customers from banking online through locking them out of banking access for a few days through such invalid attempt errors etc.

3) I worry that one of these days that this bank may go belly up or become a victim of a major hacking scam ( like the one that happened on the Bangladesh bank) thereby forcing most customers with an decent size deposit amounts to take a big hair cut.( meaning the govt banks will take the spoils and write off the bad debts of their business cronies)
I also got same message today. Helpline person gave me email address where I reported it but no response so far. Am worried.

& Submit my original proof in branch manager.

My problem is user name is wrong attempt 4 times today,
