[Resolved]  State Bank of India — Regarding misbehavior of office employee and Branch Manager

Address:Sangli, Maharashtra

This is regarding the misbehavior at one of the SBI branch we are observing and suffering from last so many months. Every time whenever we are visit to branch we are facing some problems and surprisingly Branch Manager is also not supportive. Here I am sharing with you the current incidence. I hope you understand it and will take corrective action. We are having total 3 SBI account. 2 at Vishrambag (Dist.Sangli) Branch, 1 at Miraj(Dist.Sangli). My father visited to SBI, Vishrambag Branch(Sangli, Maharashtra) for some bank related work. He wanted to update his passbook. He was standing in the queue for more than 30-40 mints and when he had given his passbook to the Lady at the counter she refused to update that. As Passbook was not updated from last 6 months she refused to update that by saying she has some other work as well and advised us to go to Account branch. My Father when told her that as per Bank rule we can update our passbook anywhere in India/ City/ District. When we reminded her about this rule she was agreed to update it for 1 month but not for the entire period. We were still asking her to update it for entire period then lady started the rude, insulting conversation. My frustrated father asked her name and warned her that he will complaint, the fearless lady arrogantly replied, "Go to Branch manager and ask my name". This doesn't ends here. Branch Manager was listening this conversation from his cabin but didn't wanted to interfere and support Customers by convincing his employees. Branch manager called us in his cabin and he also angrily told us to change branch. Just for updating the passbook why should we change our bank branch? Then he told us to give him a passbook at let it be with him for a day he will make sure it will get updated and collect it on next day for which we were not agreed. Then again he had asked us to stand in queue he will order lady to update that. Senior Citizen person is visiting to nearest branch because of his growing age it doesn't mean SBI employees should talk insulting, arrogantly and sorry to say but manner-less. 65 years old person was again standing in the line for 15-20 mints for the same, is it right? This is what we are getting treatment in your bank as a customer. Till this incident we were considering that Branch Manager is seating in the branch to support his customers, to help them by resolving their issues. But do you still want us believe that Branch Manager is the interference between Customer and Bank? If employees are nor behaving properly then we can complaint that to branch manager but branch manager himself is not behaving properly then to whom should we contact? Should we consider that bank employees are following arrogant behavior of their branch manager? As per my knowledge "My Customer first" is the vision of SBI bank and this is the branch managers behavior for his customers. We have account in SBI since 1972 but such type of experience we getting only from last few months or an year. This is one of the incident I had shared with you but I am sure everyday there are so may customers suffering with such type of incidents. But there are very few customers who raise their voices. We are really appreciating the services and facilities bank is providing for all age of their customers but I would request you at the same time please guide professional etiquette to bank employees.
