A chq of sbi (04652) kathara deposited at allahabad bank, ramgarh, to incash, but were returned by the sbi, ramgarh branch, stated that benificiary name and chq amount not confirmed by the drawee of the cheque due to his mobile no [protected] is switchoff.
Please let me know whether there is any guide line by the rbi to bankers to take consent from the drawee before in cash chq though the drawee having sufficient balance in his acccount, if contact over mobile/telephone could not establised due to any reasons, they are advised to returned the cheque un-paid to the drawer.
