To, The general manager. State bank of india, Hyderabad. Respected sir, I went to bank about 11.30 today to deposit cheque of rs. 50, 000/- into my wife's account at sbi gaddianaram branch, hyderabad. As i could not find any deposit slips at the writing counter, then i asked a person who is sitting near pass book update machine & asked for deposit slips, who in turn gave rude reply that no cash deposit accepted, you have to go to atm machine for deposit cash. So told him that i have to deposit cheque not cash. He said collect from one counter. At the counter the madam asked the same. After my explanations she gave and i deposited the cheque at the box. Is there any such rule that we must deposit cash at atm. As the branch manager was not available in his cabin so i simply returned from the branch. In my last complain i had requested to surprise visit to the branch. At about 13.33 i sent sms 'un happy' to [protected], but not received any call till now. I was trying to lodge complaint by sbi complaint form but it was not going. I request you to kindly quote the rule on the above cash deposit at atm and is there any instructions to the staff not to accept cash deposit at the counters.
