State Bank Of India [SBI] — not opening my scss account backdated on transfer from post office to sbi

My scss account transfer application from FPO to SBI received in Jan 2018. I was paid interest last on 01 October 2017 by the FPO . SBI unable to open account in their system back dated. RBI Guidelines violated and I am not getting any interest since last quarter. Bank says software does not allow opening of scss account backdated. Kindly help. Their services desk not providing any solution. My hard earned money is lying in suspense. I feel it is a breach of the trust and RBI Guidelines.
