Hi
My name is Aditi Gulecha.
My mother, Aruna Gulechha holds a health insurance policy from SBI General. She has recently renewed her health insurance with SBI policy No. [protected]-03.
When she downloaded and viewed the policy document, she found an error in the address. In place of "Om Shri building", the document mentioned "Om building."
She then wrote a mail to the customer care center stating the issue and attached her Adhaar card copy with the correct address to update the same on the policy document.
However, the customer service personnel refused to change the address mentioning that they only accept Voter ID, driving license or passport for endorsement/cancellation purpose.
She has no required documents except her Adhaar card and HDFC bank account statement for the address verification. However, the company still refuses to change the address.
Adhaar card is one of the widely accepted documents for address change. I wonder why this esteemed public organization doesnt accept it for address change in the case of health insurance while accepting it as a valid address-proof in SBI cards.
Being an old lady aged 64 years, it has become difficult for her to resolve this issue.
Through this medium, I am raising a concern on her behalf hoping that my issue will be heard and the company will settle this issue at the earliest.
For further inquiries or issue resolution, you can reach me at [protected], or email me at [protected]@gmail.com
