State Bank Of India [SBI] — Senior citizen account blocked with no prior intimation or reasons

My aged parent SBI account [protected] has been blocked and they are unable to withdrawn money from the account.There has been no information or intimation on this in the past.

All the relevant documents like PAN, KYC documents, Yearly Declaration all have been submitted in Nov last year and there is a substantial amount also in the bank account.When they need the money most for medical treatment they are unable to do so and the local branch near home wants my father Age 78 to goto the head office in Sec-2 Noida to find out what's the reason for blocking.Extremely shameful and shocking to see customer service like this from our top public sector bank.

State Bank of India [SBI] customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.

Updated by srudra I raised a SBI online complaint as well CD[protected] and when I called the customer care number they told me to contact the branch phone number[protected] which is a non existing number.I made the customer care officer hear the message "this phone number doesn't exist" but he cut the call mentioning that's the only number he has.
