I am submitting this complaint, not because i think it will be resolved through this portal, but to let everyone know how dumb tech support can get.
Issue was, my state bank rewardz portal was not reflecting the correct reward points. I raised the following queries through the statebank rewardz portal.
12-Feb - Submitted first request with just transaction details. Got response that they needed email, CIF number, account number, debit card last 4 digits, registered mobile number etc for validation.
26-Feb - Provided the details as requested, but could not enter email id completely because their request text box does not allow special characters. So entered email id without the '@' leaving a space between the address and domain. Got response that they needed email, CIF number, account number, debit card last 4 digits, registered mobile number etc for validation.
28-Feb - Provided the details as requested, but still could not enter email id completely because their request text box does not allow special characters. So entered email id without the '@' leaving a space between the address and domain. Mentioned that their input text box doesn't allow me to enter the necessary information. And guess what - once again got response that they needed email, CIF number, account number, debit card last 4 digits, registered mobile number etc for validation.
The reason i am submitting this complaint is not because i am now desperate for my reward points (it is not much) - but as a feedback for the rest of the users out there to know the kind of nitwits who are in charge of customer and tech support.
SBI - if you are reading this, i have only heard such idiotic tech support experiences on facebook or whatsapp, but this is the first time i am experiencing it first hand. All thanks to you!
