Subject: Third party fund transfer failed.
Amount debited from our account but not credited to beneficiary account. When we contacted SBI customer support (Complaint Number: [protected]), they said the amount has been processed from SBI end and we (customer) has to check with beneficiary bank ourselves if the amount is credited to beneficiary account. As we are SBI customer, we expect SBI to enquire beneficiary bank and make sure the fund transfer is completed.
Just imagine is the beneficiary bank is in far away city. Does it sound practical for customers to check with beneficiary bank themselves? I request this process needs to be changed in SBI. SBI has to make sure the fund transfers which are initiated by it go through smooth till they reach beneficiary account. It is their responsibility and they should not get away with it.
