[Resolved]  Sterling Holidays Resorts — Eligible full Refund for my unused membership

We went for a vacation to the Sterling resort at Kodaikanal, where their marketing managers brainwashed with all false promises and sugar coated lies. They were rushing up to do the payment for the membership and didn’t give us time to think. We immediately swiped 1 lakh there in their resort. The marketing managers were forcing on paying ~1.6 lakhs there but fortunately, I didn't have limit on my credit card. Later, We also paid one of the EMIs. Totally, we have paid around 1.15 lakhs.

We then planned for a trip and asked the relationship manager (some other person assigned). He was telling some other new rules stating that after paying 1/2 of the membership amount only we would be eligible to avail the benefits, half of the resorts are not functional, few of them are not included, blab, blab, blab... The membership is designed in a very complicated and confusing way that even if we pay for it, we cant be enjoying the benefits of it (as stated to us by the marketing manager). It’s a completely fraudulent mechanism in place.

After that, we understood that this scheme is a complete waste and wanted a refund according to the eligible rules signed by me. We have not used any of their services till date. We sent many emails and tried to get the refund amount as stated in the T&C. I had been struggling for years, fell sick in between and going through emotional stresses because of all these.

Recently, the sterling team started giving ultimatum through WhatsApp messages, stating that I don't pay the pending EMI amounts (~2.5 lakhs), I would not be getting any refund. This situation is creating lots of stresses to me and my physical health is deteriorating due to this. The hard-earned money of 1.15 lakhs matters a lot to us. Hence, I am posting the issue in this forum hoping to get it resolved soon. I want the eligible full refund for my membership amount paid along with the interest for holding the amount with them for almost a year.
