On 20th jan 2016 my phone Samsung galaxy s6 edge was stolen at 4:10. On the same day I called syska toll free number to register the complaint (CIN No.- [protected]). I had to fill and upload some documents out of which one was SIM blocking form. The sim card was not registered on my name at that time because when I purchased the sim connection service back in 2008 I was a minor (below 18) and the connection was registered on my mother’s name. Rest everything (phone, insurance, bank account etc.) is registered on my name only and now after the incident the sim connection is also transferred to my name.
I told all this to at least 5 syska customer care executives, and all of them confirmed me that no problem, it is NOT necessary that the sim connection should be on your name, you can get the sim blocking form signed by your mother but just upload her self-attested photo I’d proof along it in a .pdf format (I have audio recordings of all these employees and I can produce them if necessary)
I uploaded all the documents within the prescribed time and I was told that Level 1 was cleared and my documents were sent for verification.
Suddenly on 25th jan, I got a sms that my claim was rejected. I called the toll free number and I was told by them that the claim was REJECTED BY MISTAKE and they will re open the case again.
I was not satisfied by this so I mailed at [protected]@syskagadgetsecure.com and asked that why my claim was rejected? They replied that the sim card was not registered on your name hence the claim is rejected.
I again called syska and they again told me that the claim was rejected my mistake and they will look into matter.
By today 27th jan I have no clarity that why my claim was rejected and they will re open it or not. Moreover nothing is mentioned on syska website policy document that the sim connection should be registered on your name. If I was a minor at that time, how can be the sim connection on my name?
Every time I call syska, they tell me that they will arrange a call back for me but I haven’t received any call till now. This is happening since 3 days now.
I am so frustrated by all this and I feel cheated by syska.
I want my claim to be settled ASAP or else I will definitely take a legal action against syska as I have all the proofs like audio recordings, screenshots of policy document etc. Please consider my case on a high priority.
