Tanishq — tanishq selling substandard and defective jewellery cheating thousands of trusted customers

Complaint for substandard and defective diamond solitaire ring sold by tanishq.

Unfortunately, i had purchased a diamond solitaire ring from tanishq on[protected] from gip mall, noida. Not completed even a year of purchase of this substandard and defective ring.

On[protected], i went to radisson hotel and after reaching back home i was literally shocked to see that my diamond solitaire is missing from my ring.
Me and my husband immediately rushed back to the hotel and called the manager to look for the missing solitaire of my ring.

When we reached the hotel the manager along with many other employees were already searching. After an hour of searching the missing solitaire was found by the hotel staff near some shelve on the floor. When the hotel staff gave us the solitaire we sincerely conveyed thanks to them for their honesty and efforts. I was so much stressed and cried so much even after it was found as by that time also, i was still not able to come out of the trauma that, i have lost my solitaire.

Thereafter, we went to the same tanishq store in noida and showed tanishq staff the diamond solitaire and the frame / mount of the ring after which the entire staff was totally amazed at this and kept on giving lame excuse that – “sir we have never seen anything like this before”.

The entire staff at the tanishq store was literally shocked to see that the frame / mount of the ring was perfectly fine and not damaged from anywhere. They even saw that all the six prongs of the frame / mount of the ring were intact. Hence everyone was speechless and clueless as to how the diamond solitaire came out of the frame / mount of the ring.

Then they showed the frame / mount of the ring to their in house expert karigar of the store. When the expert karigar saw it properly he told us that the design of the frame / mount of the ring was faulty and pathetic. The expert karigar also told us that all the six prongs of the frame / mount of the ring were very thin and not even long enough to hold the solitaire firmly and not even folded properly to grip the solitaire firmly. The staff members of the tanishq store accepted their fault and said it is a big blunder and there is a big flaw in the design and making of the ring from the tanishq factory in bangalore and the same had also not been checked properly by their q&a quality department.

Later on, i told them that i will be filing a case against the tanishq company regarding this issue in the court. Then they took pictures of the diamond solitaire and the frame / mount of the ring and took both in their possession and said they will make a new ring for me at the earliest (For which i refused).

Therefore, neither i want a new ring nor any compensation from tanishq company. I want a public apology by the tanishq company for selling their substandard and defective jewellery in a nationalized english newspaper which is distributed in all parts of the country where tanishq products are sold and the legal expenses / fees of my legal counsel and court fees, if applicable or demanded by the court.

I will definitely sue tanishq company for the trauma and mental torture caused by them to me and my family members.in future, me nor any of my family members will never ever be able to wear any such kind of diamond solitaire jewellery due to the immense fear of losing it and the trauma caused to us by this incident. Just try to imagine that if such an expensive diamond solitaire had fallen somewhere else in a crowded place or a mall etc what would i have gone through.

As i had gone through hell today all because of the tanishq company. This is my honesty that, i admitted to have found the missing diamond solitaire. I could have also told that the diamond solitaire is lost and could have sued the unprofessional tanishq company in court for the same. Atleast, a poor and a small employee of the hotel is honest and not like tanishq company who is cheating millions of trusted customers whom they are fooling since years by selling substandard and defective jewellery.

I would request the tanishq company to first inquire and then come forward and have the courage to give the justification and reasoning for the substandard and defective jewellery sold to me and to don’t know how many other trusted customers. God forbid if this diamond solitaire had fallen somewhere else and misplaced then who would have been responsible for it. Try to imagine if this happens with you or your family member.

I bought progressive lens on a promotion that i will get another lens for free if I buy a frame. However when I bought a frame they took the money and gave me normal lens. Its been a month since I have complained, but there is no response. Stay away from Titan MG Road, Pune..they are just crooks
