[Resolved]  Tata Docomo — Device is not activated even after 5 days: Extreme dissatisfied.

Dear Sir. I requested Tata CC to upgrade my existing Tata Photon Max ([protected]) to Tata Photon Max WIFI and also upgrade my plan (Previous: [protected]@900 (Unlimited) to [protected]@1000 (Unlimited)). 2. They accepted the request and sent the executive with WiFi device at my home on Saturday. (BEfore sending the exec i got their confirmation that it will take only 2 hours for the activation. As i was on work from home that day, so needed internet connection at any cost and only after their confirmation i asked them to come on Saturday otherwise i had asked them to visit on Sunday earlier. 3. (5th July 2014, 1:30 PM) Exec took my older device and handed over me the WiFi he called up the Tata CC and requested for the activation and plan upgrade and asked me to check after 2 hours. 4. (5th July 2014, 5:00 PM) I called the Tata Photon CC and explained my situation and they said please wait for 2 more hours and device with new plan will be activated. 5. (5th July 2014, 7:00 PM) I called the Tata Photon CC and explained my situation and they said please wait for 2 more hours and device with new plan will be activated. I asked them that it already has crossed many 2 hours could you please expedite and raise the priority of this ticket. He told me that they have window of 2-24 hours and with in this window my issue will be resolved and they cant promise exact time and also he told me that there is no ticket priority kind of thing. 6. (5th July 2014, 9:00 PM) Tried one more failed attempt to explain my situation and get the issue resolved. 7. (5th July 2014, 10:30 PM) Tried one more failed attempt to explain my situation and get the issue resolved. 8. (6th July 2014, 6:30 AM) Tried one more failed attempt to explain my situation and get the issue resolved. But with the promise that someone from team will call me (It was a false promise as no one called me.) 9. (6th July 2014, 8:30 AM) Tried one more failed attempt to explain my situation and get the issue resolved. 10. (6th July 2014, 2:30 PM) Called the CC and they said it will take 24 more hours :(. CC also told me that she has arranged a call from Technical team and i may get call around 5 PM. (It was also a lie.). 11. (6th July 2014, 5:00 PM) I think it was off time for CC as my call was disconnected every time. I constantly tried many times that night but may be it was off for CC. 12. (7th July 2014, 7:00 AM) I called the CC and got a bad news that my ticket was lying unnoticed and there was no comments on that so she asked wait for 24 more hours. Now facing all these thing, do you think any one would ever like to take your service. 13. (7th July 2014 around 2:30 PM) I escalated this issue to the grievance President of Tata Photon (Mr. Elango Thambiah) and got call from him saying that my issue will be resolved quickly and he will see this matter. 14 I waited till night 8 PM and then called the CC back and got new deadline as night 12 and CC confirmed that my device will be activated sharp at 12 in night. I was awake till mid night and then checked and as usual it didn't work then i called the CC back at 12:15 AM and got a new deadline of morning 9 AM (8 July). 15. I checked again at 9 and same (no activation.) Then i didn't call the CC and made my mind to move to some consumer forum. 16. I got a call from Tat Photon CC and this time person told me that the device has been activated and i can check the same. So when i checked it was blunt lie. 17. Called the HelpDesk and got new deadline as 9 July 11 AM. So i learnt that even the senior management in Tata is useless. They don't know what is customer service just occupying their seat as VP or Director and getting a big chuck of money which is earned by all wrong way by cheating the common people. shocking post paid bill...
I was an average user of Tata docomo prepaid connection with a monthly recharge of Rs 1000 to 1500. Due to continuous offer calls from the tata docomo executives, I changed to post paid connection, expecting some monetary benefit. Along with that I activated a 3G internet plan of Rs. 149. The customer care executive provided an information that once the free data of 1GB is over, the internet speed will reduce to 2G, whereas there won't be any extra charges for net. The same was confirmed twice with the customer care executives.But I recieved a shocking monthly bill of Rs 3500. I believed that it might be a mistake in the bill & communicated to the tata docomo executives through written mails as well as phone calls. But the reply was a clarification in the bill concluding that the generated bill is correct, the mistake is with me that I didn't go through the terms and conditions of the plan in detail !!!
MY POINT IS
1) WHY A PERSON CALLING TO CUSTOMER CARE ? (ANS. TO GET THE CLEAR INFORMATION)
2) IF THE CUSTOMER CARE EXECUTIVE MISGUIDES THE CUSTOMER, WHO IS RESPONSIBLE TO BEAR THE RESULTS?(I FIRMLY BELIEVE THAT IT IS THE BASIC DUTY OF THE COMPANY TO MAKE AN ENQUIRY AT LEAST)
3) WHY CAN THE COMPANY OFFICIALS CHECK THE CALL RECORDS THAT THEY USED TO SAVE FOR 'QUALITY IMPROVEMENT' PURPOSE?(IF YOU ARE GENUINE IN DOING IT FOR QUALITY IMPROVEMENT, JUST DO IT)

GRANT CHEATING AND LOOTING BY TATA DOCOMO

Dear Sir, I am an Retired Defence Services Officer, Two
weeks back, one sales rep of TATA DOCOMO Mr Madasamy with mobile
number([protected]) approached me for marketing mobile and internet
connections. Based on his words, I agreed to do a mobile portability of
my BSNL post paid connection to tatadocomo 899 (unlimited
local+2G data plan). And was planning to take an internet dongle.
As per his advise, I paid him on 02 Jun 15, Rs 950 (Rs 850 deposit+Rs 50
for Sim + Rs 50 for protability charges). On the same day, the porting
UPC was taken (BT243433) and he noted the details. He collected the
filled application, Aadhar card copy, Ration card copy and photo. He
asked me to pay the left over BSNL bill till that date with additional
Rs 30 to BSNL office so that porting will be done by 5 days time.
Accordingly, I visited BSNL commerical office and paid the balance bill
with additional Rs 34 on 04 Jun 15 and informed them of my intended
porting to tatadocomo. They noted the same.On
05 Jun 15, Mr Madasamy gave me a new sim and told that, the old sim will
get de-activated and new sim will start working for next day. When I
asked for the bill for Rs 950. He told, it is in office and he will
handover to me on 06 Jun 15.Till date, neither
the old sim has got de-activated nor the new sim is activated. For the
last four days, Mr Madasamy is dodging in giving me the bill for Rs 950
and also he is not answering to my calls. After many unsuccessful
attempts, finally, Mr Madasamy answered my call today morning and he is
telling the he is away at his native and he is not in a position to tell
the status of mobile connectivity. Again tried Coimbatore office of
tatadocomo, no one is ready to listen to the issue.It
appears to me that, I am being cheated financially as well mentally.
Earlier on two occasions I had the experience of mobile number porting
at Delhi and Bangalore. I never faced such situations. Is this the norm
followed by your company and staff?Kindly
enquire into the issue and either instruct your coimbatore office to
return me the deposit Rs 950 or get the new connection activated and
provide me the bill for Rs 950/-. Because of
your company and unreliable staff, I struck with the situation of not
able to make calls from the existing BSNL number to avoid billing issue.When
approached your customer care, they are not taking any complaint
stating that the details are incomplete. Why this situation? If this is
the condition while taking the new connection, what will be the
condition in future?

On 12 Jun 15, One Ms Poornima called me and told that She is the Appellate authority at Chennai. When requested to her to explain what is the action taken and where is the problem. She don't have any answer. She don't have any resolution to the problem. She contacted me without any details. When asked her whether she has gone through the mail. Negative. She was feeling sorry to say that she is yet to go through the mail and the problem projected. When asked why a bill is not being provided to the cash payment of Rs 950. No reply Only thing she has to say is that she need three more days to check and come back.

For every ones information BE AWARE : This is the only company which is charging for Post paid Sim card, portability charge of Rs 50 and post paid activation charge and deposit. No bill will be provided. The reliability, authentic and Genuine Tata Service has vanished into thin air long back

Overall, In case I plan to port my number to TATA DOCOMO, I need to stop using my old mobile number for three weeks in order to get a confirmation that I may get portability or not. Then IF lucky may be moved to TATA DOCOMO
Hi I have a connection from your service and I was a happy customer till last week in Oct'15.

I have a wifi dongle and [protected] the service request number is[protected].

Now I had 2 girls calling me and following up on the complaint, they had no clue of how to handle customer issue and they just abruptly end the call when it came to a stage that they are done with all possible answers.

My system is very slow and it takes ages for the device to open a page.

I need an immediate action on this since I was promised that this is getting closed on the 8th and nothing is in place and I truly depend on your device to get my business move, If not resolved tomorrow then we are a lost customer to you for sure.

Dear Concerning officer,

I am one of the most un-satisfied customer and expecting some resolution to the problem I am facing.

My billing cycle is from 6 to 6th of each month and I subscribed to 5 GB plan. Since my connection activation till last month, my package data last fro around 27-30 days (experience of around 1 Yr). But this time the data exhausted in one day, which is beyond my acceptance. In this relation, contacted the customer care and got the reply that there is a problem in system and it is considering the uses of last month we will resolve the same. After that response, received a call from the officer and he informed that the data is being utilized. Despite of my justification that:

1. How one can use 5 GB data in 2 days;
2. login of mid night is not possible;
3. If so, please provide the detail of data uses.

Despite of showing my dis-agreement, the department has closed my complaint and send a massage of "complaint resolved". This is not a t all a good service to a customer we were looking for the justified solution.

Here I am requesting to resolve the issue or withdrew the connection with immediate effect, other service providers are there.

This is really a disgusting service I received from a reputed company like TATA.

I have been using Tata docomo photon dongle for more than 8 months. From the start I am facing network issues. As a normal process I called up the customer case to complain regarding the issue and I came to know that there is low coverage in my area. They told me that their technical team is working on it and they are not aware by when the issue will get resolved and asked me to be patient and bear with them. Later I came to know that there is no tower set up in my area which could provide high speed and proper coverage. I don’t understand why they sold this dongle to me or people in my area if there are network issues in my area. It is absolutely unethical. Please do not buy tata photon dongles as they do not give complete information as to whether they have high speed and enough coverage in a particular area or not, I was also not informed about it when they sold it to me. Please avoid buying it. Completely dissatisfied with the service.
