[Resolved]  Tata Teleservices Limited, A Block, Silicon Terrace, 30 / 1 Hosur Main Road — Billing dispute as a result of wrong billing

Dear Sir, We have a board band connection from Tata Teleservices in Bangalore and during month of Feb 2013, the billing cycle was changed suddenly and we received the bill for 15th days in stead of 30 days from 4th -19th Feb in the name of my wife Ananya Nath. To our surprised the bill amount was of Rs 2694 when last month the bill was just Rs 399. When we call customer care center, it was told that due to billing cycle change there could be an error in the billing and same will be investigated by tata. Based on that communication we made many attempts to establish communication with Tata vendor who assured us for the investigation. But in spite of many follow ups ( preserved all email communications), we never got any reply from company. Later we were got disconnected on 29th Feb'13 and was never reconnected back so that we can avail the service. Though we never the connection back Tata kept on sending bills for Feb and March'13. But we never paid the bill though the recovery agents were harassing though calls and threatening to take legal action. In Nov'13, we received a notification from Bangalore Lok adalath to go to Deputy Registrar office to resolve this matter. When we went to court and explain the dispute to Deputy Registrar, he was in his opinion that we approach consumer court as Tata agents were insisting us to pay the entire money without any valid reason. We came back without paying as we felt it was wrong from company's part to harass customers like this for no fault of theirs. This complaint is to seek justice for customers like us who suffers day & day out for unfair practices followed by these service providers. We believe this is not about money alone. It's about service providers being more sensitive towards resolving issues that customers face and being fair to all customers. We hope we will get justice in this case Thanking you.
