Tikona — Billing - Harrassment

Cust Id: [protected] Had been using this connection for 3years till May 2015. Around end April I called the customer care and requested for a disconnections as I was moving house. The CCE advised that I should go for a transfer request and continue the connection at new place. Since the society I was moving to had fixed vendors allowed to service the society I apprised the CCE of the same and re requested to take a disconnection request. They said that the disconnection team will get in touch to fix a convenient time to visit current place. However till 9th May nobody called, so I sent a mail to Tikona customer care with a request to discontinue the service and acknowledge my mail. I did not receive any reply from them, however an employee called to again ask why I wanted to disconnect, after having explained to him, he took down my request and said that someone will visit. Nobody visited/called again by the time I moved out. In June I received intimation for the bill which was for the whole month. I called customer care to ask why I have been billed for the full month whereas it should have been only for 15 days. I was told there is no disconnection request and that I have to pay. I insisited on talking to a senior person and explained and deliberated the whole situation after much discussion he agreed to close the account. For me the matter was closed then. A few months back I received a call from an advocate in Delhi saying that Tikona is filing a civil suit against me in Delhi high court and he was being considerate to fair warn me so that I settle the issue or being a lady I will be haggled at court. Ofcourse I refused to pay and told him to go ahead with whatever process he has to follow. That was the first call and after that regularly someone would call with the same routine. Then the calls stopped. This morning I received a call from an advocate [protected] saying that a notice to appear in court is being served through the BKC police station, and I have 15 minutes time to make an online payment and stop the notice and if I dint pay my passport, driving licence, voters card, bank accounts will get frozen and all money transferred to govt account till case is resolved. I refused to make the payment. After a couple of hours I got a call from on Ajay Varma ( [protected])from RBI - saying that I should settle the issue or all my bank accounts will get freezed and the balance transferred to Govt account!. I asked him from which dept at RBI was he calling from to which he says that he cannot divulge this information since he is not authorised to!! and he was doing a good deed by informing me before the notice is sent to BKC police station. He said I should contact Sub inspector Omprakash Thakur at BKC to confirm what he saying is true. I told him he can follow his due process and hung up. After 5 minutes sub inspector Omprakash Thakur ( [protected]) called to say there is a court notice and when can I come and pick it up. I told him I am out of town, will come and pick up once I am back. He said no I have to come now since the court hearing was tomorrow. General awareness that things dont work that way helped in swatting his threats and i hung up. This is sheer harrassment from Tikona. The lapse from my first call has been from Tikona and its employees. Really dont understand what do these companies think is the meaning of customer service! I see a lot of such complaints against Tikona, cannot this be taken up broadly on a universal scale? However to resolve and close by case - Tikona is showing a bal of some Rs.2800/ receivable from me, but as per me I need to pay only Rs.565/-.

The calls had stopped for sometime, but received a call again today from a Delhi no [protected], apparently from an advocate assistant in Delhi Tees Hazari court.
Also received an email from Tikona from legal dept to pay the amount. Have replied to them.

However, I see there is no response to my complaint here.
