Hello,
Everyone had given me negative reviews for Tikona, but due to attractive plans, I thought of giving it a shot.
I used tikona service for a year approx in Indore. Things were working fine. Very few outages, but that was not an issue.
Things were working fine, I never had to reach out to them. Bills paid on time.
Recently I had to move to pune, and I thought of moving tikona connection as well, given the good experience for myself.
I made a call for shifting. I had to wait a long time as the guy never showed up on scheduled date. After multiple follow-ups finally the guy came for installation.
He took some time to install, and confirmed me as the connection is not 100%(packets are dropping), he will check the strength from office.
In the evening I called him to confirm if things are OK, he confirmed that the connection strength is not even 30%, and the minimum requirement is 35%, so the connection won't work. I asked him to cancel the connection right away. He agreed. (REQUEST # 1)
Days passed, no one came for disconnection, so I called Tikona customer care to find out why disconnection is not done.
I was told that there is no disconnection request. I was surprised to see this and asked them to take the request. I was told the request is taken and I should receive a call in 24 hours. (REQUEST # 2)
Again few days passed and no call or technician came. I called Tikona customer care again but found out that it shows no request at their side for disconnection.
This was weird. I did showed disappointment, and asked them to take the request. Again I was told that I should be getting a call in next 24 hours. (REQUEST # 3)
After couple of days, I was still waiting.
I got an Airtel broadband which was working fine. It made no sense to wait for tikona.
On 19th Oct, I called them again. To see what is the status on disconnection request. I got to know the request still doesn't show up on their end. Like seriously?
I got really disappointed by them. I asked them to take the request. and this time I made sure I am dropping an email to customer care as well for my reference.
This time they took the request seriously. But no action from their side. (REQUEST # 4)
During all these request I asked them I am not going to pay for the service, as their is no service from Tikona. I was assured that I wont be charged for it.
I won't be charged for the rental as the service is not in use. I won't be charged for shifting installation, as it was confirmed the same day that the connection is not successful.
Now, I have started receiving automatic calls from Tikona and emails for the bill.
I have also written an email to their appellete authority, but that would take a lot of time to respond.
I did received 2 calls from Tikona guys offering new packages. Asking me that the connection is fixed. I told them I have already taken the broadband connection as their was a delay. and the disconnection request was given to them, but they don't understand. I turned the offer down.
Today is 22nd Of Nov, and the connection is still not disconnected.
It has been a nightmare, and I am not sure for how long it would continue.
