[Resolved]  Tikona — Harassing from more than 2 years now

Below are the advancements:
1. My Tikona service ID number is [protected] from Tikona Pune. I got the connection on 17-Dec-2018. It was a 3-month plan with free installation.

2. Internet was terrible and I had to get another connection from a local cable operator in Jan 2019. Their service and internet up time was 99.9% which was way better than Tikona.

3. Since I had already paid for 3 months, I waited for it to end so that I can use Tikona at least for entertainment purposes.

4. On 16-Mar-2019, I called them and requested a cancellation and they asked me for a reason. I said bad internet and anyway I was supposed to move out of that house in maybe 3 more months as I was living there temporarily. They were giving me options to move Tikona to another place and there is no need to cancel the connection. I politely refused and insisted on a cancellation request to be taken.

5. They refused to budge and the call went on for almost an hour where they also became quite pushy and talked harshly with countering everything that I said. Eventually, after a lot of insisting and me refusing to budge they took my cancellation request and said will be cancelled in 2-3 days.

6. The subscription was anyway prepaid and I disconnected from the internet the very same day to avoid any kind of internet usage post that day.

7. A very long time after this request I finally received an email stating that the Tikona Service was Disconnected and below statement:
" You will not be charged any Recurring/Rental charges after the Final Bill period in which usage is seen or request for Service disconnection was registered (whichever is later)". It was anyway a prepaid connection for which I paid in the month of Dec 2018.

8. After this I was relieved that nothing is pending now. But suddenly on 3-Jan-2020, I receive DEMAND NOTICE emails and calls from lawyers stating to pay Rs. 1372 which is pending or else legal action will be taken in Delhi court. It was a very threatening call. I had nothing to panic about as I knew I am not at fault.

9. I searched online a bit about such calls and there is was, the internet was flooding with such reports.

10. To date I have received 12 emails in the last 2 years and don't know how many calls. I have stopped picking them.

But these emails need to stop. I had some free time today and thought of complaining about it to this forum.

Hope Tikona stops this non-sense and keep harassing innocent consumers.
