[Resolved] Tikona — Overcharging and Cheating by miscommunication . | |||
My tikona user-id is [protected]. I used Tikona for many months before I had to switch from Gurgaon to Pune on July 23, 2014. I stopped using Tikona on July 20, 2014 itself and requested for service discontinuation on July 27, 2014. Tikona care took a complete month to accept termination request and sent me a confirmation on Aug 23, 2014 stating that "We will consider your last usage date or Termination request date whichever is later as the date up to which you would be charged for services, basis which the full & final amount will be calculated." I had already paid them till July 25 as they take advance payment. As per their own communication, they should charge me atmost till July 27 (2days) But, they charged me for a complete month. I had written them half a dozen of emails to correct the bill amount. But they chose to reply only once saying "Your bill was already generated, we cannot do anything.", as if the bill is a irreversible event of history (like am asteroid clash with earth). Their telephony customer care justification is that "The billing department generated this already, we cannot do anything. We will generate a service request".. The request never got serviced. I asked them for justification about what they communicated to me in written. They very conveniently chose to ignore my mails and did not respond. And today, I got a call from somebody threatening me that a legal case is going to be put up against you. My question is - They take advance payments always and miscommunicate that "Only till last usage date or termination request date, they will charge customer", but in reality they for complete bill cycle which is generated in advance. It is totally a matter of cheating and fraud. Time and again, I have told them in emails that its not a matter of some Rs 885. But its an issue of overcharging, miscommunicating and cheating customers. Nobody in Tikona chose to reply and talk to me and explain. But they started using fear of legal process to extort money. Again on this public platform I want to tell Tikona that if they re-correct the bill amount, I will pay in 24 hours of correct bill generation Was this information helpful? | |||
