[Resolved] Times Of India — Assured gift not received since from 8 months

I have subscribed for times of india newspaper, chennai edition on dec 2016, i was assured that i will be receiving the gift which i haven't got yet, since from jan i tried following up with the delivery person, they then gave me the office number to check the status. When i called in the office they said they delivered in the month of march as per them but i haven't yet received the parcel. Initially on explaining this situation they said ok they are sending it again which i will be receiving in a week time. Waited for it some more time still i did not receive the parcel, then again i had to contact them and say that it is been still not received, and i had to again explain the situation from the beginning... This time they say please contact the courier agency who delivered in the month of march and gave me his number which says does not exist.

I dont understand why do you want to first promise that i will be receiving the gift, which you dont send, and when i call you to check the status then you commit that i will be getting it again in week time, and then later you tell me that please call the courier agency whose number does not exist. Don't you think for the gift you made me call you hell lot of time and still with no solution.

This is really annoying to know that big brands like times of india respond to the situation like this.

I received my gift parcel, I called the Times of India, Nandanam today finally i received it today.

Updated by shailajasivakumar Not Only this, I had to continuously follow up the agent who subscribed me for times of India to deliver the newspaper which only started after 1 and 1/2 months from the subscribed date given in the paper, very annoying and bad experience with Times of India since from the beginning...It's really frustrating to continuously follow up for everything. What answer do you have for the mental pressure you gave me.

One more issue.. the newspaper delivery person throws the paper in my balcony, sometimes it falls beyond my balcony and there is AC outlet way where the water is logged, the paper will be lying there sometime which i can't pick, I told the person to keep it in my door, which he still does not do.

One more issue, as you have to make the customer suffer to extent right!!!. In a week sometimes i don't get newspaper for 1 - 2 days...

I am just waiting to finish my subscription tenure with Times of India and stop the service... thats it !!!

Consumer Forum is the only option left for me to post my problems with Times of India, even if they dont want to respond to this, you can analyze the level of solving their issues with customer.

I got this call from India 2 shop that i am lucky customer who is assured a free gift if I purchase their deal of the day offer of 8252. I selected I Phone 7 for my assured gift and paid amount of 8252. I was told that my gift has been dispatched same day and provided tracking number. After 5 days I got my Deal of day offer but no sign of Apple I phone for which I had gone ahead and accepted their terms. After calling their help line, came to know that my I phone is stuck in Thier logistics and I have to pay GST and packing charges. This was never informed during the initial call. I ageed to pay the above payment. After 3-4 more follow ups, I was again up for a new suprise, I need now pay insurance as well. All this was never communicated. Only after following up they are coming up with new charges. Now I have paid almost 30% of amount. An item which was supposed to be free, ended up paying 30% of the amount.
Still I have not received my assured gift. It's been 3 weeks. Calling them daily but they do not have tracking number for such a valuable item costing 70000 but they gave me tracking number for item which costed 8252. Hahaha. Do not know what to do. Laugh or cry.

What is the rate of TOI on Sunday? Rate does not appear on newspaper of Sunday
. Rates for Times: Fri+ Sun+Wed Rs. 5/- and not Rs. 5/- on Sunday. Sunday rate is Rs. 4/- only. Conform on my email ID [protected]@gmail.com
