I have purchased a subscription of 12 months newspaper on 20 January 2025 (Order ID: QL[protected] from the field person who does home visits. My newspaper delivery was to start from 23 Jan 2025. I called multiple times and raised complaints to TOI on and after 23 January 2025. I also wrote a mail. They acknowledged and gave me a complaint ID (GMR-208682) but no solution came for few days.
Then on 03 Feb 2025, newspaper agency dealer contacted and informed me that your delivery will start from tomorrow. You will have to pay INR 200 for delivery. I informed him that this wasn't conveyed to me during the purchase and hence I'm not willing to pay additional cost. He informed to discuss with the TOI person (Mr. Ajay Rathod). Mr. Ajay informed that the delivery fees is must where I denied that this wasn't informed initially. I would like to cancel my subscription if it is mandatory. He denied that the subscription is processed, and we will not raise a refund.
I haven't received newspaper for a single day and still they are denying the refund.
On the next day (04 Feb 2025), Mr. Ajay Rathod shared a counteroffer that he will have a discounted rate of INR 150 only for Newspaper delivery. I informed that if this was informed earlier then I didn't mind paying but now like this if you ask additional payments then I'm not comfortable. To this, he informed that "okay fine... You can continue raising complaints again and again. They are managed by me, and I will just ignore them."
I could not find any help from TOI and hence raising a complaint here.
The resolution I seek is the refund of my subscription amount. Was this information helpful? |
