I am submitting this complaint with deep concern regarding highly unprofessional, misleading, and unethical conduct by Uttam Toyota Noida in relation to the booking of a new Toyota Hyryder.
Despite following all prescribed procedures and making a confirmed booking with payment, the vehicle allotted to me was arbitrarily sold to another customer. This has caused significant financial disruption and loss of trust.
Details of the Case
Customer Details:
Name: Iqbal Ahmad

Chronology of Events
10 January: I contacted Uttam Toyota Noida and dealt with Mr. Vijay ([protected]) for purchasing a Toyota Hyryder Petrol VAT, Gaming Grey, in the company name Asian Adventures.
11 January: Mr. Vijay confirmed vehicle availability and requested booking payment by 12 January.
The on-road price of INR 18, 40, 000 was confirmed, including:
3+3 years insurance
2 years extended warranty
INR 10, 000 accessories
Additional complimentary accessories
Toyota Hyryder logo on bonnet
12 January:
Official Order Booking Form No. 41611 issued
Chassis number MBJUYML1SSL193162 shared and confirmed as allotted to me
Proforma Invoice dated 12 January for INR 18, 40, 000 issued
12 January at 5:30 PM: A representative from Uttam Toyota collected a booking cheque of INR 1, 00, 000 (Cheque No. 657495, HDFC Bank) from my office.
13 January morning:
Mr. Vijay confirmed the cheque would be deposited the same day
Cancelled cheque shared for RTGS registration
I applied for a loan of INR 12, 00, 000 from HDFC Bank, which was approved the same day
13 January: Mr. Vijay confirmed the vehicle would reach the Noida showroom by evening and photos would be shared.
14 January morning: He requested nominee details for registration, further confirming allotment.
He reconfirmed that the booking cheque had been deposited and would clear shortly.
11:30 AM: I was informed the car had mistakenly gone to the Patparganj showroom and would reach Noida within an hour.
12:00 noon: He requested bank representative details to coordinate loan disbursement.
1:00 PM: He reconfirmed that the car was on the way and photos would be shared.
2:14 PM: Shockingly, I received a message stating that the vehicle was no longer available and had been sold to another customer. Mr. Vijay also contacted my bank to stop the loan disbursement.
Grievance
Once a vehicle booking is confirmed, a chassis number is allotted, a booking form and proforma invoice are issued, and a booking amount (cheque) is collected, the vehicle cannot be sold to another customer.
This is not a case of miscommunication. It is a clear instance of gross misrepresentation, breach of trust, and serious procedural failure, causing financial inconvenience and mental distress.
Relief Sought
I request the following:
A written explanation from Uttam Toyota senior management on how a booked vehicle was sold to another customer.
Immediate intervention by Toyota Kirloskar Motor to investigate this matter.
Confirmation of delivery of the same vehicle or an equivalent replacement on identical terms with same color within 24 hours.
I request an urgent response from the dealership and Toyota management. Such practices seriously damage customer confidence and the reputation of the Toyota brand.
I trust this matter will be treated with the seriousness it deserves.
Regards,
Iqbal Ahmad
