I am a retired army colonel and had booked house painting at janakpuri through urban company on 15 apr 2022. Post survey and estimate, advance of rs 7206 (35%) as desired was paid by me on 20 apr 2022. Site visit was done by contractor on 27 apr and work was to start from 28 apr 2022, which was assured by contractor and is also mentioned in app.
However no one has come on 28 apr or even after that and since then for 1 month i have been raising ticket for call back and resolution, but with no result. I am told that they are trying to find new contractor, as earlier one has refused. Last week i was told that work would start on 30 may as they were overloaded. I asked them that when work for which advance was taken by them on 20 apr is still pending, how can they go ahead and take fresh orders, to which they had no reply. Yesterday i got a call that they are again unable to get a contractor.
Our dealing is with urban company (And we are not concerned about contractors dealings) and we pay additional cost to them (Compared to dealing directly) for these services and coordination. It is painful that while my advance of rs 7206 /- is with them for over a month, they have failed to get work started and worse not bothered to respond on my multiple messages and calls, nor returned my advance. Is this the quality of customer dealings and quality of customer support o[censored]rban company?
