[Resolved]  Urban Company — Wrong Invoice / Rude Executives

I have multiple issues to share with you, starting with the fact that I contacted customer care to settle an issue regarding the wrong invoice that I was given.

I booked a TV installation last evening through urban company - my very first booking on urban company app. The technician Suresh Arrived on the dot at 9:30 AM and finished the installation by about 10:15 AM.

When he was about to leave, there was an issue with the invoice. The booking that I had made for the installation was a cost that was different from what was showing on his app - apparently the pricing on his app had not been updated. He was very upset about it and then called his manager or customer care or whichever number, to complain. After this, he left saying that he’s going to close the job by putting it as something else.
Now I did not enquire as to what he was going to do at that point. However, when I check the app to get the invoice, since I need to claim this amount with the Customer Care team of the TV company, I find that the invoice is showing switchbox installation as against TV installation

If this was not enough, I had to content With the rudest customer care executive at urban company and possibly every other online platform that I have ever dealt with. Her name is Rakhi Singh.

Now she Assumes that she is doing me a favour by merely having a conversation with me. Right at the beginning when I was simply explaining to her, what was going on she tells me “so you were seeing that he entered some other details” in a sort of accusatory way. I took immediate offence to this and questioned her for questioning my integrity.

Obviously this didn’t go down well with her, and she tells me that “nothing can be done now that the invoice has been made”.

My point here is simple. I booked a TV installation. I have got an invoice for something altogether different. I need an invoice for a TV installation. She puts me quietly on mute while I am ranting, waits for me to finish and then tells me “I checked with my team and it can’t be done - the invoice can’t be changed”. When I tell her I would like to speak to her seniors, she tells me I will get a call back in 24 hours. When I say connect me now, she says that “I’m sorry, it is not possible” - again in an absolutely rude tone of voice.

I think if you keep employees like this, you’re not going to have any customers left. I too, am going to give you an absolutely poor rating and also put this up on social media.

All I asked for was an invoice for a service I availed. And the service was a TV installation. I cannot present any other invoice to them.

While this could have been settled amicably, Your executive rakhi singh decided to make me find ways to escalate this issue so as to make all of your lives, absolutely miserable.

Now it has come to a point where either I get the correct invoice and you take action against Rakhi Singh or I choose to take this matter to a consumer court where you will end up spending 10 times the amount and going through hundred times the pain to get this problem solved.

The choice is yours
