Growing concern over an unethical behavior to earn those extra revenue from a customer. A tendency is seen similar to VAS activations by mobile operators.
Instance 1.
After having opted for a plan change (from current to monthly 199 plan) which was confirmed by help desk could find later that it continues in the old plan and tried reaching call centre to understand what went wrong? typical reply was such request is not received. Later on requesting to have it changed their reply was since your balance is exhausted we cant do a plan change and you need to recharge for the same. I started recharging for only Rs50/100 post that instance with a thought of leaving this service and was planning to complaint on the experience. Post recharges also the plan change request is not seen processed. Till date it continues on the old plan.
Instance 2.
Since my parents often find the service interrupted since i keep recharging for minimal amount, off late of this nuisance this week i recharged for Rs300/- and to my surprise i could find my service is again interrupted now for the reason not even call centre is able to rectify. Now they have commented a technician need to visit the house and get the same rectified for which they will charge Rs170/-
This is a daylight robbery by the brand since no such instance occurred when i kept on continuing a minimal balance. Now even if i object for the payment they can deduct it from the balance i hold and also they keep deducting for the days of non operation as well.
With the service been offered a technical hitch cropped up _ should it be born by the customer??
Why would the complaint crop up only when my balance is sufficient enough for the brand to deduct??
This as a layman feels like being cheated and also breach of customer contract where in unethical practice is been followed by the company to earn extra bucks for their benefit.
