[Resolved]  Vodafone — complaint against vodafone: unauthorized charges and lack of billing transparency

Complaint Details:

I recently ported out my number from Vodafone to JIO. Despite terminating my services with Vodafone, I have been receiving demands for payment without any accompanying bill or explanation.

Complaint Summary:

I find it unacceptable that I am being asked to pay without receiving proper documentation of the charges. Transparency in billing is essential, and I expect to be provided with detailed invoices for any outstanding amounts owed to Vodafone.

Furthermore, I am concerned that Vodafone is attempting to charge me after I have ported out my number. As a customer, I fulfilled all necessary procedures to terminate my contract with Vodafone, and I should not be subjected to any additional charges after the port-out process is complete.

Requested Action:

I request that Vodafone immediately ceases any attempts to collect payment from me until I receive a clear and detailed bill outlining the charges. Additionally, I ask for an explanation of why these charges are being levied after I have ported out my number.

I don't know why Vodafone didn't notify me about this alleged unpaid bill when I was porting to another sim and let the number be ported out, as far as I remember when I was porting no bill was sent out to me. Due to the fact that I have autopay and ported at the end of the month I assumed that any remaining bill would have been already settled but after about 2 months I suddenly can't call anyone and got a reminder that I had to pay remaining bill of my last sim provider, I took matters into my own hands and found a site to pay bills of inactive Vodafone sims, the bill was higher than the monthly bill I used to pay but I did it anyway but it still didn't work then I had to call the customer support of both JIO and Vodafone and after an hour later one of the JIO customer service member said that everything was resolved and I had to restart the phone for it to work
Vodafone India customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
