I’m writing regarding an issue that i have been facing since my last bill. I have spoken to 5-6 different different customer service executives relating the same including a few senior ones- all i get is an assurance of a quick resolution and false proimise of getting a call back. All executives whom i’m listing below have admittance of the error from Vodafone and a reversal of the extra charged money for the same.

The case we have is fairly simple. I travelled to thailand and activated Daily_500 service. The instruction for the activation was given on 17th April at 0130hrs IST. I was told that the activation will be done with in two hours. After this i boarded a flight to thailand and landed there at 0745hrs Thailand time. This is approximately more then 4.5hrs later. As soon as i landed i chose the DTAC service and i received a message from vodafone saying that my Daily_500 service is active.

As per the deal i was to be charged 1 INR per MB of data usage. But for reasons best known to vodafone i have been charged 3115 INR for the same. This is wrong on two counts

a) the instruction was given well in advance when i was still in bombay
b) you cannot charge me a premium for roaming service and also add additional charges for the same

I’m a 17year old premium Vodafone customer. Since last 15 days i have made genuine effort from my end to resolve this issue. As a responsible customer i have also made a voluntary payment of 5000 INR even before the issue is resolved. I particularly remember speaking with Mr. Muzammil Shaikh at 3 different occasions and explaining him the same. He admitted to this being a Vodafone error as according to him the service should get activated within two hours of the instruction (i was mid air then, hence couldnt have used the data service). He promised me on 3 different occasions to call me back the same evening with a satisfactory resolution. But nobody from vodafone has called or bothered to look into the issue

Its truly being a harrowing experience dealing with Vodafone customer service. I wonder if you can treat your loyal and premium customer like this - what would be the case for the new ones!

I hope to get a quick revertal on the same
