Good day.
My name is Nelson palani.I wish to put on records the treatment I received and the disgusting experience I am having on entering the Vodafone chembur store.on 25th February 2016 I acame to the store to buy a wi fi dongle and extra internet time package as I was In need of the same during the oard exams time for my children . the lady took down my details and did the process at the payment counter I was told that they do not accept debit or credit cards to which I had to walk around the area to find the atm and make the payment.i was told by the person that it will take 3 to 4 hours for activaton
After verification. Hence I was calling up for verification after 4 hours. but each time I called I got the reply that my request was not processed by the store. I must have called at least 15 times after every hour but each time I got the same answer.
Next day I visited the store the lady who filled my form took me to the first counter where another lady was at desk and she went to check at the counter regarding the status of my request in the mean time the lady at the desk started questioning me all over again wanting to see my photo etc. when I told her that the lady at the counter knows the details she had the audacity to reply back saying then you speak to her and my ac opening papers which the lady who filled my form had kept at her desk was pushed aside in anger by her in the mean time another gentleman customer came and occupied the seat in front of her she started communicating with him when I told this lady that she will be responsible if any of my documents were lost from her desk as the man also had put his papers there she back answered saying that why did I keep it at her counter when I told her that it was her colleague who had left it with her she loudly called out to her to take the papers as though she was the boss of the store and care a damn for the customer such behavior is shamefull.
I asked the lady who filled my form is there a manager of the store she called one mr Sandeepwho said he was not the manager but was stepping in for the person temporarily. when I told him my concern he gave me the answer that there is some issues on verification which will get resolved immediately however he asked me more 24 hours time. He offered me a usb drive with 2 gb to use temporaily free of cost but when I told him that 2 gb is not sufficient and I had purchased additional time worth 1800 appx he seemed to be helpless.
When I asked for the number of the store he said that they don’t give the no to the customer he gave me his cell no as I said I cant keep coming to the store again and again. When I reached home and tried using the usb provided by Sandeep there was frequent disconnections hence we couldn’t use it.
As soon as I reached home I received a sms Vodafone care saying that my number was ready for tele verification when I called them the same saga continued that my adhar card proof was not updated by the store so I told them why don’t you speak to the store directly and raise my concern they said they cannot do that as they are not in contact with them and donot have their numbers or emails I wondered how do these guys communicate perhaps telepathy.
After a couple of days I had no choice but to revisit the store .in the store when I entered I couldn’t find Sandeep bcos by this time he had started to avoid my calls I asked for Sandeep I asked one staff member where is Sandeep one said he had not come to work today and had not seen him the other one said that it was his weekly day off and the lady who filled my form did not extend any help either so I called Sandeep a couple of times he was not answering the phone. Then again I asked a fourth staff member he innocently told me that he was upstairs in their back office so I demanded to be taken to the back office or Sandeep must come down after calling him after many times he was forced to come down to see me its fascinating the team work the store has to keep saying lies give false promises and don’t deliver the goods.
When I returned the usb and requested for a refund I was told that there is no refund policy by the company so I said you have failed to provide the goods I was told that the refund takes more than a week I was asked again to give more 24 hours .i demanded to speak to a higher authority or get the person a reluctant lady came and started arguing all over again .
I told them do what it takes and get me a full refund to which I was told that the talk time could be transferred to any of my family members or friends number.i offered to give my bank details so that you could make a online transfer but it was refused by the lady. She was making frantic calls to people to get permission and told me that she needs approval from corporate office which is unbelievable
I demanded cash saying that when you opened my account you demanded cash and I see there is enough cash to refund me she denied so at last she said she can give a cheque but I will have to wait for a week I agreed.
After a few days I received a call from one of your offices saying that they will issue me two cheques and verified my name I thought the issue is resolved finally
After a couple of days I called Sandeep again to check when I can come to the store to collect my cheque.
He surprised me by saying that they will provide me refund by cash but he still needs to confirm however I have not heard from him again .yesterday I called him again to check on the same he said he will call back in two minutes which he has not done yet when I told him I had sent you a sms regarding the same he asked for my mobile no all over again .
This is what Vodafone is all about just waiting to swallow peoples hard earned money and full of lies and corruption you must change your tag line from HAPPY TO HELP TO HAPPY TO HARRAS.
So its six weeks now that Vodafone is not trying to refund my money.
And the pathetic state of operation and administration at this store is evident of the company standards its disgracefull to say the least.
