Vodafone India — Forcing to pay for the service that I will not use. | |||
I submitted the request to close my account on my billing date 25/12/2014 but due to some error in network I lost the connection and was not able to print the request number, then again, I chatted with one of the Vodafone customer service agent through their website and re-submitted the request again. The request number is ([protected] is the request number for the cancellation). However, the agent said that the connection will be discontinued only by 5th January and I will have to pay the rental amount until 5th Jan, 2015. Now, I am stunned to know that the mobile service providers are forcing their customers to pay for the service which they will not be using. Is it fair? I have captured the entire conversation that I had with the Vodafone customer service and how rudely they replied that I am bound to pay even if I am not using the service.
