Vodafone India — fraudulent billing post cancellation of number | |||
I took a connection from Trichy for Vodafone dongle (portable WiFi - [protected]). I got transferred and didn't need that connection any more and had asked the Vodafone to cancel my connection, settling the last bill in June/July. However, there was another bill generated the next month and sent to me. The torture and harassment starts here. I refused to pay the bill and the number I use for my calls (since 2011) was blocked for the same. I called the customer care and the associate who answered my call was rude and finally hung up on me. Post which, I was called by Vodafone and promised that the number will be cancelled and that I should clear the bill one last time, which I did. However, the same thing happened the very next month. When I refused to pay the bill again, Ram ([protected]) had called me to speak to me about the issue. From the pending bill of 935/- he asked me pay 500/- and that he will waive the 435/- off and cancel the connection, etc. I obliged. And again the saga continued last month. I refused to pay the bill this time. I had go through the same problem of blocking my other number again for non-payment of a connected since 5 months now, which I had asked to be cancelled. The bill now is 631/- . I keep getting messages from Vodafone that a legal demand draft has been initiated against me to collect the same and asking me to contact Ram to settled the same. When I call Ram this time, he again has come back asking me to pay 320/- and the rest will be waived off and the number cancelled. I have refused to pay even a single rupee for a connection that I have not used a bit in the last 5 months. I have already paid almost 2000/- for no fault of mine. I would like to get this torture and harassment stopped. Now that I know what Vodafone is upto, I would like them to pay me back every single rupee of what I have paid them for non-usage of my connection in the last 5 months. There has been no response from Vodafone regarding the complaint. However, I have received another SMS again on the legal conciliation notice and also for blocking my other mobile number again.
