[Resolved] Vodafone India — Fraudulent Call | |||
I have been a vodafone customer for the past 6-8 years. The number was being used by my mother who is a senior citizen. However one day she received a call from an unknown number who claimed to be calling from Vodafone some Dept. and said that there is some problem with this number and they are checking the same. They asked me to hold the line for a few minutes. The few minutes was about 15 minutes. post which they disconnected the line. Within a few hours the outgoing calls from that number got blocked as they said that the customer has exceeded their credit limit of Rs.5000. I was surprised as how can an incoming call be charged at that rate. Since then the Vodafone Billing Dept has been chasing us for the payment of Rs. 5200/- which is completely unacceptable. I have since stopped using that number and request a amicable settlement. Was this information helpful? | |||
