Vodafone India — My service was deactivated for a week and I was charged 300/-

Hi, My name is Nithin, I applied for a postpaid sim ([protected]) at Vodafone Mini Store, Chandanagar. A few days later, i started receiving messages stating that my documents were not proper and i need to contact 111 to avoid deactivation. I contacted the customer care, who said they cannot help me in this issue and i need to visit the mini store. Soon after, my outgoing calls were barred and later on my incoming calls. The next day after my sim stopped receiving signals, I visited the mini store to enquire the reason. I waited for a good 1 hour before they opened the store at 11:00. Then on checking the database, they found that a personal had visited my residence for bg verification and found that I have changed my address on Dec 1. The color of my house was stated as white. I have neither got any call nor did any personal from their side visited my residence for verification. The color of my house is blue. The same day I was promised that a personal from their end would visit my residence else they would refund my money. The personal did not visit that day. The store is situated very far from my home and it is very difficult for me to visit their store every time. The following day i called up on their number which they did not respond as it was a holiday (Saturday). On Monday i revisited the store and asked to refund the money as there was no proper service from their end. They hooked me with the manager on call who talked very irresponsibly. When I asked for a refund, he said that I have to wait for their service and cannot get a refund. When I said I would launch a consumer complaint he said I cannot do anything against him and he would receive no harm from it. In fact he just challenged me to go and launch a complaint which could harm him in any way. I cannot let go of this embarrassment and struggle I had to go through just cause of fault from their end. I had to roam around their stores for more than a week due to faults from their end. I launched multiple complaints, but there was no reponse at all. I then approached the mini store for the last time and then asked for the refund. I returned them the sim thereafter saying I do not need their sim and the manager asked to do so. I left disappointed with Vodafone. I am now charged a bill of 1000/- rs and they are now processing legal action against me for non payment. I simply cannot let go off my rights as a consumer and make the payment o my hard earned money for such a service. Please help. My current number is [protected]
