[Resolved] Vodafone India — Unauthorised subscription to "BISCOOT STORE" on [protected] | |||
I have been using vodafone prepaid since 2009, and using internet on mobile also since then. I know how to avoid clicking on pop ups and other phishing sites. On 6th dec 2016 is received the messege "Hello! Biscoot Store pack is now active on your number, as requested.This service is valid till[protected] and a 15 days rental of Rs.45 has been deducted.Your current Balance post service activation is Rs.261.535.To deactivate SMS STOP to or call 155223(toll free)." I have never accessed this site nor downloaded its app or something. And i am least interested in what the "biscoot store" has to offer. Then why would i like to activate this service. In this new age, when we are moving toward online transaction and online payments. These monetary transaction are getting secure and better by using OTP on registered mobile number. Then why company like vodafone is allowing its useless auxillary services to be activated without our prior approval. Afterall our mobile balance is also our money which we have the right to choose how to spend. Before posting this complaint i came across numerous such complaints faced by people earlier. Even then the company (VODAFONE) is not taking any action to avoid such occurances. This indicate only one thing, that they themselves are involved in it and promoting such mal-practices. I want refund of my money and deactivation of this service immediately. Was this information helpful? | |||
Jan 2, 2017 Complaint marked as Resolved Vodafone representative called me for confirmation of the query i have posted here and resolved the issue by reimbursing the deducted amount, without hesitation.
