Vodafone India — Vodafone wrongly charging the customer for the services not utilized | |
Hi,
I am a customer who visited India for a short while and had chosen Vodafone as my service provider. I took the postpaid plan for 2 months but they disconnected my service in the middle of my cycle and just didn't restart my service. Along with this issue, there were multiple times where their sim card was not working and I visited the Andheri west Vodafone office couple of times addressing my issue and trying to disconnect my service. I didn't even use the service for more than 15 or 20 days but now they are charging me some Rs 876.06 for this kind of service . They sent me emails about outstanding payment and I replied back saying I am only responsible for the service I used. I am ready to pay the amount for the time period I had utilized the service but not for something I didn't use it. This is ridiculous. I came for vacation and if this is the service I am getting just to use my phone. I can imagine how difficult other things would be. They are now enforcing a legal action for something I didn't even use. I told them to send me the true amount and I will pay it but they wouldn't mention the real amount and would just send emails regading outstanding payment.
I am sure there would be many consumer complaints against Vodafone and they should be responsible for their poor service.They just want to get money but they don't understand consumer satisfaction or in better words fail to understand their responsibility towards customer. They are legally supposed to get money only if they provide right timely service.
I would really appreciate if this could be escalated to their higher management.
