Vodafone — issuing bill after deactivating and submitting postpaid sim at vodafone store

Dear vodafone

It was wonderful to have you as my service provider for 2 years in hyderabad. My name is suraj sanjay patil and i was using your services in hyderabad since the year 2106 if i am not wrong. I opened a post-paid account at your vodafone store located in raj bhavan road, somajiguda hyderabad. My mobile number was [protected] i had a great time using your services and i am very thankful to you for the same. Since the time the revolution happened in telecommunication sector when prepaid plans became life saviour for everybody i choose to opt for prepaid plan instead of post-paid and decided to close down my post-paid number as i was moving out of hyderabad forever. I already got another prepaid vodafone number in mumbai through my father [protected] and i am happily using the prepaid services of this number currently. On 29 august 2018 i made all my payments of my post-paid number [protected] and requested the costumer executive at vodafone store in raj bhavan to close down my number. They accepted my request took my sim card and ensured me that a request has been put to deactivate my number [protected] and told me that i will get confirmation call regarding deactivating my number on my registered mobile number at vodafone that was [protected]. I got calls from vodafone various times but after a month almost when i left the city and i reverted to those calls several times again and again informing that i have already put the request for deactivation at the vodafone store so kindly do that. One fine day i got a call from vodafone stating that i have a pending bill of 1200 ruppes and i was traumatized after that i was in a huge mental shock after listening to it speaking further i was told that a legal suit will be filled against me if i dont pay this bill. I explained that i am not using this number anymore and i deactivated this sim long back after august by submitting the sim at vodafone store. I am into a deep mental trauma that i have been cheated because i made my payments i subitted my sim back and still my sim was kept active or it was been used by somebody else at vodafone store god knows and now i have a bill of 1200 ruppes which i have been forced to pay if i dont then there will be a legal suit against me. Dear vodafone kindly tell me how ethical is this for doing this with me when i have not used your services when i have submitted back my sim like a resposible costumer at the vodafone store and still i have been charged a bill of 1200 ruppes this is total fraud. Just because of the lethargic nature and sit back attitude of your service executive that he forgot to deactivate my number after submitting the sim to him or he used that sim to generate a bill of 1200 ruppes on my head knowing that i will never get back to the store as iam leaving the city. Dear vodafone my whole family uses your services and we love you but this is very disheartening and very disappointing that has happened. Kindly investigate the whole matter and take necessary actions on this to do the justice. Iam sorry but not sorry that i will not pay this bill as i have not used the services and if right steps are not taken to wave off this unnecessary charges which cheatingly have been put on me i ll stop using your services i have 6 members in my family and we all use vodafone and trust me i ll close all those six numbers and choose other operator who are more ethical and professional in thier work and respect values like honesty transperency and truthfulness.
