Vodafone — Lack of proper customer care support

I have recently applied for porting to vi and have got the sim but I am unable to activate the number in vi. Still the old operator network is available after 3 days and calling 59059 for tele verification from vi is of no use. I also tried the sms way but no use.
I wanna know whether I have to wait a little longer or I am not aware of any other steps.
I called many customer care number to know that they are all AI which cannot give response for sim activation.
I regret very much about joining VI.
