Vodafone — malpractice of balance deductions

Vodafone india on a regular basis has been involved in deducting balances from the customer's account.

I have faced this in the past many times. I need to pen this down once in for all. I was in uk for early part of this year. My main balance was minimal as i was aware of hefty international roaming charges.
Vodafone used to call me /text me on a regular basis to recharge with the international roaming pack. Since i was on a local network in the uk i did not pay attention to it.
One day all of sudden i get survey message from vodafone and message read as "all texts are free". I went ahead replying for 3 messages.
Boooom!!. It took no time for them to reduce my main balance account to negative 3 digits for latching onto there network and sending out messages (Remember in their message itself it was written "texts are free").
When i came back to india i recharged with 149 which went in vain since i cannot use their talktime unless i clear my main balance negative.

I thought to give up on this and clear my main balance only as vodafone customer care as useless and apathetic as only they can be.

Recently i recharged with rs 79 which includes 64 rs talktime and other benefits of data. I thought rs 64 would be deducted from my negative blance. Nope, rather they include this in secondary balance which can be a case i agree. My point is where they have informed about this in their website? If they haven't included in their own website, isn't it a case of misleading?

Vodafone India Customer Care's response
Dear Customer,

As per our records, It is a prepaid number which has balance of Rs-99.11 only hence you are unable to use service at IR location. For International Roaming monthly rental charges are Rs.99 for 30 days and for 7 roaming SMS (15Rs./SMS). It will charge whenever you latch on International Roaming. For that you need to keep your main balance above Rs.100 or you can activate an IR pack from any location via self-help mode (My Vodafone App, Vodafone website, USSD, SMS) refer the following link https://www.vodafone.in/discover/roaming/international-roaming-packs.

Regards,
Snehal

Hi Snehal,

Thanks for the reply.

I am at my base location now i.e Maharashtra.

You have to go to a point where the issue is orginated from.
Let me gave the insight on it again. While I was in IR region I got a survey message from vodafone to offer feedback on VF services and how likely I am to recommend VF to friends and family. I used to get such surveys in past as well and are free to respond to as per my knowledge. Out of goodwill I did that and was charged for the same (99 for latching and 45 odd for 3 replies I sent on survey message). My sister is keep on recharging the SIM with different pack (has got no service utilized till now) and is unaware why outgoing calls/SMS are not working.

So cut the long story short, I want to know why I was charged while I participated for Vofafone Feedback survey (higlighted part attached where it says responses are FREE). And even if the same service becomes chargeable while in IR, why I was not informed of the charges were not informed to me explicitly and enticing me into replying VF feedback survey, I consider this a case of misinformation selling and a malpractice to which Vodafone India has stooped
