[Resolved] Vodafone — number deactivated when tried to mnp with other service provider | |||
I am Sukant Dev (Mobile Number # 941****362), a vodafone postpaid customer since July 2016. My number was deactivated on 29.02.2020. Due to extremely poor network coverage in my residential area since last 3 months I tried to do MNP. But the UPC code would not generate quoting "There are subsisting contractual agreements with service provider. "Though I had cleared all outstanding dues. A week later on 29.02.2020 my vodafone number was deactivated without any prior Intimation. I contacted customer care & I was told to visit nearest Vodafone Store. I visited vodafone store on 29.02.2020 and I was told that my number had been deactivated under DoT Policy. I was further told by Vodafone executive at store that my number was being used for Tele Marketing. It is pertinent to mention that, this is my personal mobile number and I am employed at a PSU. I asked him to check my call records and he could not find more than 4-5 call per day from my number. Next I was told that my documents were not sufficient. After more than 4 years of being post-paid customer i am told that my documents at the time of CAF were not sufficient??!!! I requested to activate my number and the vodafone executive assured me that the number will get activated by evening of 29.02.2020. I visited the store again on evening of 29.02.2020 and I was told that it will be done on 02.03.2020. On 02.03.2020 I was told by the vodafone store that your number will be created from a different store. I communicated the store and since 02.03.2020 they have been delaying and postponing the process. Literally I am being harassed by Vodafone executives, firstly that my number has been blocked without any prior intimation & justification & secondly that my number is not being reactivated for unjustified reasons.
