Volkswagen India — 2011 Vento fuel system is bad

My 2011 model Volkswagen Vento recently started performing badly - knocking and stalling at lower speeds. When i went to elite motors, bangalore, where i had serviced the car recently, they told me that the entire fuel system needed to be replaced as they found foreign particles in the fuel. The cost they quoted is Rs 2.5 lakh. It is shocking that a German engineered car can't take a single instance of adulterated fuel. I have been reading instances of Vento car fuel system failing frequently, especially in 2011-12 models. So there seems to be some issue with the design. I was promised a call back by end of day. It has been more than 3 days and i have called customer care multiple times with no results. Can someone from Volkswagen answer our questions? 1. Why can't a german-engineered car take one instance of bad fuel? 2. If the fuel system gets bad with one instance of "bad" fuel, how often will i require to replace the fuel system costing 25% of the cost of the car? 3. Are the service centers to be trusted? How do i know that my fuel injectors were not replaced with old ones during service? I am asking this question because i did not have this problem until after the service. 4. How long should i wait until someone from VW addresses our concerns? I have not been able to use my vehicle for 2 weeks now.
