Volkswagen India — we seek proper justice

Address:Surat, Gujarat

Respected Sir/MadamI am one of the customers of Volkswagen residing in India owning a Volkswagen beetle with registration no. GJ5 8515.Our company namely Sahiba Limited is one of the biggest textile houses of the country having more than 3000 employees on permanent basis. We own multiple cars of your group which makes us your premium customer(audi, skoda, volkswagen). We own well reputed luxury cars like range rover too. We have around 100+ cars registered under the name of our company for our executives. The car Beetle was given for minor accidental repairs to one of your dealerships in Surat M/S Volkswagen Surat (Navjivan Motors) on 6th September 2013. After much delay and wait we were given a quotation for repair on 2nd October 2013 amounting Rs. 1, 67, 161 for which they sought approval from us. The approval for the same was given from our end on 3rd October 2013. We were given a commitment that the car would be delivered well before 31st October. The car was not ready and not delivered on the committed date of 31st October. After much mental harrassment and trouble and continuous follow ups we were given an invoice of the car on 13th January amounting to Rs.2, 71, 678 . The deviation of the amount was approximately Rs. 1, 00, 000. Also to inform you no prior approvals were sought in this regard. The dealership M/S Volkswagen accepted their mistake in writing via a mail on 18th January 2014.Also we received a mail on 23rd January to take the delivery of the car in spite of the fact that the car was not complete with the repair work. The same fact was mentioned by your dealer in the invoice raised on 13th January. Also to bring to your notice, the fact that the car is incomplete was accepted by your representative in a meeting conducted with us on 29th January. During the meeting your representative informed that some spare part(Left side wheel bearing) is still not replaced and would be replaced in a day. Also I would like to bring to your knowledge that your dealership demanded garage charges of Rs 1000 per day from 15th january till the date we take the delivery of the car. As per the terms and conditions mentioned in the approved repair estimate given to us on 2nd October 2013 such garage charges amounted to only Rs. 250 per day. I really do not get the point of such mental harrassment.During the meeting conducted on 29th January 2014 your representative offered us a waiver of Rs 45000. Subsequently we received a mail from Volkswagen Mumbai that the waiver amount is Rs 25000. Such attitude and behaviour clearly indicated that your dealership is misguiding and providing wrong information to other employees of Volkswagen. We were being mentally and financially harassed due to all this and became the ultimate sufferers. We can provide you with the clipping of the meeting conducted on 29th January to clarify all your doubts. Also we did not seek any waiver or charity. The whole point of bringing this matter to Volkswagen Mumbai's knowledge was that we expected them to give a justified result and not a result under the dealer's pressure. We again received a mail on 1st february to take the delivery of the car within 7 days by making payment of the unapproved amount. Also we were now informed that the garage charges would be 500 per day if we fail to collect the car in the mentioned time period. Again a deviation in the amount of the garage charges clearly implies that the motive is to mentally harass us.We would also like to inform you that the car is registered, owned and used by a senior citizen and did inform the same to your dealer and all the other parties involved in the matter. The senior citizen is facing mental and physical problems due to the inconvenience caused to him from the past 5 months. The attitude and approach of your dealer and customer care dept(mumbai) clearly indicates how insensitive they are towards the senior citizens of the country. We have lost all our faith in the trusted brand name of VOLKSWAGEN.Kuldeep Singh Saluja (Arora)Chief Managing DirectorSahiba Ltd.
