Volkswagen — sold defective car | |||
My wife and i bought volkswagen polo petrol model in april 2016 from patparganj new delhi india. It has hardly been one and a half year since we bought the vehicle its windscreen has broken five times. The interesting point is the windscreen breaks exactly in the same pattern and, at the same site. When raised my complaint to the vw service centre, the service guys come up with their pathetic expert opinion that it is breaking repeatedly because of external force such as wiper. This was mentioned to me telephonically however they changed their statement after finding the wiper in fine condition. The statement was now changed to breakage occurring not because of wiper but some mysterious external force which could have been anything as they could not comment on that either. I believe a windscreen cannot break every month as it is supposed to take certain amount of trauma which i am sure must be more than that of wiper. Also i drive on the same route on daily basis and in past four years my honda glass has never been broken a single time. Despite my repeated requests vw people are not willing to test for a manufacturing defect in frame or something else on the other hand making us realise as if we have committed a crime buying a volkswagen vehicle.
