[Resolved] Voltas — Technician asking abnormally high charge for installation | |||||
I purchased a voltas window ac from amazon. Voltas technician visited my place and asked for 3000 bucks for installation. When i say installation, ofcourse it includes cutting the grill of the window and installing it. But 3000!!!... Do i look like an #, that whatever he will ask i will pay him!! Later i contacted voltas customer care. They told me, for extra works, like cutting the grill or breaking the wall, they will charge the usual 500 charge plus 200-300 bucks more for cutting the grill or something. I have that call as recorded as well. Also they promised, that next day a senior executive will give me a call back, and also a senior technician will visit at my place. No call from senior executive. No technician visit. I called to the customer care again, and again, and again. 15 times i called. Every single time, senior executive is not available. For what are these senior executives are being paid off, if they are never available...!!! Then, the stupid customer service representative said, his senior is saying whatever the technician is asking for that is correct... Wow! He was not available till a minute back, and now also he can't take the call, but he is so prompt is his response, through his junior.!!! I have never even seen such a poor and pathetic customer service. Disgustingly disappointing...!... Voltas should know that there is a body called india's consumer forum. I am being forced to put this complain to the consumer forum as none of the voltas executive has any solution from their end. Voltas should know that there is a standardization of every charges. Either the charge of breaking the wall, or cutting the grill,.. It should have a per square feet basis. The technicians can't charge anything abnormally!... My complain id is [protected].
